    'sfunny but my story on this was rejected over a week ago. Anyhow SBC actually have 2 patents on this type of technology: 5,933,841 6,442,574 both are entitled Structured Document Browser.

    Yeah, right. I`d be careful to check the track record of people making claims for the future in IT.

    It's certainly on of the main things the mobile operators are going to be selling over the next year or so.

    This is probably the exact reason why Orange's MS Smartphones will only run 'signed' applications - ie you must pay Orange/MS before your app will run on their smartphones. The telecoms operator can then lock-out apps (such as this) which could eat into their profit margin. Downloadable (pay-per-play) mobile games are allegedly going to be next years big thing in the mobile world.

    The problem with these lists is that they don't compare like with like. How can one compare a sci-fi action film (eg The Matrix) with a sci-fi comedy (Sleeper)? Just my 2 euros worth.
