I did a little bit of research before went to Frys for a Cameras in the $200 price range. The sales clerk was a geek who knew his shit. I throw questions at him from left to right and he answered them without pause. I didn't open the camera until I read all the reviews just incase I had to return it. All the reviews were positive.
What does this have to do with America? I'm shopping for a quality camera. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck. I will say this though, I will never ever buy an American car.
Well just last week I purchased a digital camera. I was in the market for a camera in the price range of $200. I went to Frys and saw a Kodak and Canon. I asked the sales clerk (more knowledgeable than most) which camera is better and he flat out said the Canon. He trashed the Kodak camera. Said it had less features and that its accessories are more expensive. He basically said the Kodak is all fluf. This can't be good for Kodak!!! Needless to say I bought the Canon and I am absolutely happy with it.

If you can't handle the challenge and want to take the easy route then that's fine, but remember that they offered you this job because they thought you can handle it. If you turn it down it says something about you.
A project is as exciting as the people who lead it. You can mold and shape this project into a cool project. You come in, whip up the team into shape and make something out of nothing.
If I were you I wouldn't let an opportunity like this slip by me.
Only M$ will make it self look like a prime target for every stupid company that has a patent. When someone sues you, you take it seriously and if it is a bogus patent you have to make stand right there and then otherwise you will open yourself up to a lot more litigation.
Besides, Linux and the Open Source Community has Free Software Foundation. Plus, I'm sure Redhat, Novel, and IBM has vested interest in seeing Linux grow and won't site idle while shitty companies (ala SCO) tries to extort money from the open source community and its user base.
Well if Comcast doesn't care about their customers then why do they give me a nice discount every time I call them and say I'm going to cancel my service? I have done this three times and every time they reduced my rate for cable internet to $30 dollars a month. Every company cares about their customers and if they don't they are bound to tank. I mean, they don't know how much influence a single customer has.
You seem to think that one person can make a difference. I'm one of those people that think a single person can make a difference.
You know how many Network Engineers are out of work and hurting right now? You'd better believe 4 years from now there will be a lot more out of work network engineers. You are better of going to dental school man.
I wonder what Microsoft's master plan to depose Google is? I'd imagine they'd love to have search.msn.com be the default homepage on internet explorer and default search engine.
I love my Nokia 6360. Yes, it is plain and it isn't sexy but it gets the job done and is durable. I've dropped more time than can be imagined and it is still alive and kicking.
We had one massive calc book for calc 1, calc 2, and calc 3. I paid $120 for it and I say it was well worth it. I still have the book and it comes in hand once in a while, expecially for calclulating surface area stuff.
My Calc book was worth all the money I paid for it, it is a shame I can't say that for most of my books.

...the lenses are absolute shit. All the megapixels in the world won't give you a good picture if the lens is bubbled or out of alignment.
That is exactly what the sales clerk said.

I want to know if he is Charlie Stross with all the Amazon.com self-reviewing that has been going.
I don't know about you guys but I look at the negative reviews first and work my way up to positive ones.
I wonder how much DNF will cost after it has been out for a month.

They raise my bill and I'm sure has hell going to DSL even though DSL sucks in my area. It's about the principle of the whole thing.
Development Team? I thought it was a one man show!

Oh, I don't know...there are plenty of geeks out there that would be tempted to try penis enlargers and Viagra pills.

Good luck I say.

His post is about linux so is mine. That is good enough for me.
The second paragraph in the article says:
They have even enlisted author Kurt Vonnegut to help promote the open source ideal of sharing your computer code with others.
They have Kurt Vonnegut promoting Linux? I have died and gone to heaven. Being a huge fan of Vonnegut this makes my day.
It is the old chicken and the egg problem. It goes something like this I think...
A chicken had an egg, it ate it. Did the chicken eat the egg or did the egg eat the chicken?
SWT is as portable as it can get. I'm currently using it for a custom installer and it works wonders.
