Why do so many people have such a grand view of what life is like a game developer. Life as a professional game developer sucks. It is long hours and pay low compared to the rest of the IT industry. And don't forget about the whole sale firing/hiring that is going on in the gaming industry.
Stick to Mod development where there is no pressure and spend your week days working for company X developing business applications.

Case in point, their whole consumer electronics and handled products. No one wants them stronger by licensing their products. The XBOX is a disaster and their media center PC isn't selling well at all. Their table PC is junk. Pretty much useless unless you are in maintenance related work line.
If one thing pisses me off about Bill is his constant jabbering about innovation. Innovation my ass. Bill, you look like a fucking dork with that shitty ass and useless cell phone wrist watch. That is not innovation, it is an abomination created by some goofy ass geek who thinks combining his cell phone with his wrist watch is a cool idea.

I recommend Dells to people all the time. My first system (7 years ago) was a Dell and I shelled out $2699 for it. Now that I know how to build a system I am much happier. If someone asks me to build a system for him or her I do it, but if they just want a recommendation, I just send them of to Dell.
My philosophy is "it is your money, spend it how you like." If you spend your money on Macs so be it, but don't tell me your system is superior to everything out there.
Frankly, Mac users have some kind of superiority complex that if uncheck will run wild. Moral of the story? DoItYourSelf can be just as good as a of the shelf Mac if not better.
Second CPU? Why do I need that? Last time I checked there weren't any games that take advantage of multi-processor systems. My web browser doesn't either. I work I use multi-processor system to processes images and large pdf files. I don't do anything remotely close to that at home so why do I need it?
Keyboards and mice are dime a dozen.
