Hydrogen maybe safe when it comes to producing pollution but the safety of a hydrogen burning engine is another story. Hope the scooter as redundant fail safe system on it otherwise the rider is gonna have one foot in the after life.
I don't know man, your story sound like that of the movie Office Space.
Oh about the agents/editors, since their are a lots publishers out there that publish technical and sci-fi books I am sure there are plenty of tech savvy agents/editors. Contact the big agencies/publishers and ask them.
The test is very compressive so not only do you have to be at your A game but also have to be at A^x game. I don't think one has to have attended an Ivy league school to get a good score test but I do think that one has to have attended a quality school with good professors. I gleaned over the GRE CS subject test and pretty much everything that was on it I have been taught at the public school I went to. The problem is though I don't quite remember everything I was taught (might have to do with having killed one too many brain cells during my college days).
Like the gentlemen above said your best bet at getting a good score on the exam is to go to graduate school first and get your masters degree then take the test.
You can't patent it but you can certainly copyright the script; thus protecting your work. So yes, the overall story and plot is protected.
If I were, for example, to create a Matrix clone with a twist and simply change the names of the characters and call it "Diotrix" I'd be sued faster than lightning.
If they don't own any of the IP how can anyone be infringing upon it? All we heard from SCO in the media was "infringing on our IP" and "we have to protect our IP."
Novell really gave SCO a bloody nose today and I for one I am glad.
Nothing worse than incompetent jurors. The idea of someone being able to patent the processes of auctioning is just appalling. What these jurors need to get through their head is that if something exist in some other form it shouldn't be patentable. I care not for eBay but this is ridiculous.
If they real want to give to charity they shouldn't just give away software. They should also supply the hardware to run them on or better yet give them stright up cash:)
I doubt M$ has good intentions when it comes to giving things away.
I agree with you about having to mean it but I am confident that M$ would immediately jump and offer discounts if they ever heard company X say we'll do feasibility and cost study on Linux. M$ would offer discounts just not to have the study done. Now companies/governments have some leverage where as before they'd always tell you "Screw you, You'll take what we give and like it." Take the changes they made to their license policy a year or so ago. They made a killing at the expense of their customers/users. I don't think they can low ball people like that anymore. No wonder why they are supporting SCO.
Microsoft is in a real catch-22. I mean what is stopping governments/companies from getting those deep discounts by threatening to switch to Linux? If they don't give discounts they may well lose contracts and the pool of people using open source software grows. If they do they aren't going to make as much money and they'll surely have to dip into that 45 billion dollars they are sitting on.
M$ has been ripping people of for year. Now they'll be the ones getting extorted. Like the old saying goes whatever goes around comes around.
How many hot songs come out each month 2 or 3 at most. Everything else is pretty much garbage. I would gladly pay three bucks a month to buy those 2 or 3 songs I like. If a whole album I like comes out I'll just buy the whole album.
Just like with their XBox Live thing Microsoft wants to control everything. I guess their thinking is it has worked for them in the past and so sticking to what has worked for them will lead to market successes. I boycott everything that is Microsoft and there are quite a lot of people I influence when it comes to making IT related purchases. They'll have tough time selling me anything and probably 80% those I influence. Good luck to them I say.
If someone is making millions on your work you aught to care. At least I do. I want a 10% cut damn it! I share my knowledge and my work, you share your wealth if you happen to make money on my knowledge and hard work. That is not too much to ask is it?
I don't know about your system specs, but my TNT card rocked. I never had any problems with it.
Personally I don't care who I buy a card from but their are two prerequisites. 1. Has to have high price/performance ratio. No way I am willing to spend $500 on a video card. 2. Good driver support. The damn thing shouldn't crash. If it crashes it is going back.
Umm if you can afford $500/mo you should just contact one of the big companies (AT&T, Verizon, SBC, etc.) and have them install a dedicated T1 line and host the damn site yourself.
In fact you should create your own hosting service and have your clients pay you to host their sites.
Well the darn thing doesn't work yet and like they said "they are working to have it more resistant to changes." From experience you don't want to wait for promised technology...it is rarely delivered on time.
Your average Joe doesn't hate AOL so no bashing AOL on this thread please. This move will hopefully help crush any chance of Microsoft Xbox Live, which is basically total and completely controlled by them. That last thing we need is a more powerful M$.
Agree. I have always found OpenGL to be smoother and more pleasing to the eye. DX kills frame rate and I honestly can't stand anything under 100 frames per a second.

What do you call Lobbying? Donations? Political Action Committee?
Kilgore Trout makes an appearance on almost all of his novels. He writes interesting story too. I'd love to get my hands on Kilgore Trout novels :)
I love Vonnegut's novels. I specially like Cat's Cradle. Thanks to that book I am now Bokon's Witness. I'll soon be knocking on a door near you.
Busy..Busy...Busy.
p.s. I'm finishing up Mother Night and starting on Time Quake.
Kurt Vonnegut is a Genius!

IBM always has a trick up it sleeves (ask EDS). I have no doubt that the kung-fu of their army of lawyers is stronger than that of SCO.
The point he was trying to make was "drink guiness, get drunk." Very simple concept really.
You have a Black Female in your cabinet? That's a felony kidnapping Mr!
10pc for plot? Oh come on, if a movie isn't 40pc plot it is not worth watching.
