If I replace the ENIAC boss with a "beat the living hell out of whoever submits top 10 lists to/." level will it get even more traffic!?
If I make my own top 10 list, will it get on slashdot? Will anyone bother to RTFA?
Too bad that TRS-80 dungeon game that tried to be realtime but couldn't keep up with my typing as a 10 year old isn't on the list. These lists are made to "suck up" to the average reader, not the average supergeek.
as in Television or NTSC(640x480) for nerds like us. I was not talking about the max that the screen could handle.
With the site/.ed, I had to use the pythagorean therom rather than porportioning width and height. If you "knew what you were talking about", you would've caught that.
Condom use leads to increased sexual activity which causes more "accidents" which is why America has a much larger population (density) than China!!
I hope I'm not trolling, but it seems to me as if the government should have something better to do. This might not "wake up" the average citizen, but I think that I've lost even more faith in my country while still considering it the best in the world.
if your traffic hack results in someones death, you can be faced with a life sentence under modern U.S. law.
If you don't live in America, we'll just threaten your government until they let us extradite. I firmly believe that hacking is art, but some things should just be left alone. That said, I throughly read and enjoyed it; keep em coming phrack!

Seriously though, I would never trust any "merger of my pc and entertainment center" such as the "HP Media Center PC." Just throw a video capture card (the Haupauge PCI TV card works fine w/ v4l) into a Linux box. It is neither difficult nor complicated. It seems like my server does nothing but host some websites and show TV. I recommend mplayer in spite of it playing Stargate in French occasionally.
A 42" screen that I can watch TV on at 640x480. That's only nineteen DPI.
Or, I could play doom on it at less than ten dots per inch!
I wonder what a Doom3 framerate would be at an acceptable resolution for this!? Would you need to pay more for the computer to use this than for the monitor? Does Windows have a "special edition"(seperate $300 license) for this type of display?
Considering how much space winshit takes up, and the innability for specialised projects to modify it you are faced with a serious challenge.
If I had to do it, I would install Linux on the tablet pc with an svgalib client for VNC or terminal server. It will enforce "on premisis" use. VNC supports SSL if you need security.
Make sure to use every available security option and see if you can get modified 802.11a cards "shifted" to another frequency. It won't be perfect, but it will be more effective than WEP.
I was hit in the head by a minivan 3 years ago(I'm 16 now). Since then I have very few memories of when I was bored.
I remember nearly every day of Auto Mechanics from last (freshman) year, every day of of Adv. Geometry from the same year, but not one memory of Adv. Freshman English or Keyboarding beyond the teachers name and some CDs I listened to in class:-)
In a decade or two will I still remember AP Physics(awesome course) or nothing but the different class, variable, and method names of my code?
As for my earliest memory, it is getting my first book on GW-BASIC in second grade. I still have a 5.25" floppy with some of my code from the time and a notebook of flowcharts. I hope I still have a few discs to look back through, but I've given up on notebooks. I just might port some of that code; the "Uno Warrior" was a backbreaking 2000 step 10 lines! Now that we no longer use line numbers, tens of thousands seems like less to brag about whereas 200 with no external dependancies seems amazingly efficient for an "adventure" game.
As for the author's "language" theory; I'll never be able to forget BASIC though it is a lot of fun to insult it. I don't remember Pascal, nor any of my programming in it.
was sub-par for a first job. I hope neither myself nor any of you are forced to do such a thing again.
As for working for free, I've been doing it as the lead programmer for this company that I started with my friends four years ago. I do it because its fun, not because I think that the stock will ever be worth anything. We are too kind hearted to charge for our software.

I find it utterly ironic that in the united states, the culmination of high school economics is playing monopoly with "pretend checks" instead of "pretend money."
I only took that shit because auto mechanics 2(best course set in my school aside from AP Physics) was full. I got in next semster!/me is overjoyed.

I see this as a good thing, so long as we can reincorporate the code. How is C programming done in other languages? Are foreign languages/characters supported?
This is an honest question, please don't reply to the Red China comment; it was just a joke, not flamebait.
