My younger brother(13) has 6 or so DVDs. Not one of them can be watched do to a few scratches. The only benifit of this is that "The Fast and the Furious" is now only 20 minutes long.
I seriously doubt that a lasting disc will be adopted so long as the MPAA controls the standard, and they do "0\/\/N$ j0."
I am too lazy to enable passwords on my proxy server and WEP can only be enabled through the windows configuration program.
Define irony: They expect me to install Windows to "secure" my wireless network. WEP cracking will probably take less time than learning my proxy configuration.
If you "borrow" WAP access like me, be sure to give some back and let others connect from your equipment.
As for your "wholly securing it", keep any "important" systems behing a wired proxy server. Wireless is great for making my zaurus and iBook more mobile, but I would never use it to let my server connect to my cable modem. Some common sense if your setup will prevent hacking attempts.
Consumers' rights are pitted against industry copyright protection, with trillions of dollars at stake, said Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies Inc., a Silicon Valley consulting firm.
You seem to forget that corporate money is worth more in this instance because they are more likely to "donate it to particular political groups."
Being a minor, my "comsumer rights" are worth less than $0. Those of you whose opinions are affected by this probably vote Libertarian anyways.
Does this new type of drive operate on an IDE-like setup of 4 drives or a SCSI-like setup of several more? Can I use these in addition to my existing IDE drives? Have Linux drivers been written? Are they in 2.4 or 2.5 or a patch?
If any Serial ATA makers want me to review them, send a demo copy to:

beyond a few minutes on a @#$@#$ing webbrowser. And I'm in High School; the middle school students are only allowed to go to disney.com and the county school website!
It would be TRIVIAL to take down the entire network (winshit 98 systems with SHARED LOGIN SCRIPTS that are WORLD WRITABLE!!!). In addition, any computer can print to any printer in the school; the principal's included with NO PASSWORD!!!
If the computers aren't being used and the tech coordinators don't know how to secure them then why do we have them?
(This post ignores the obvious fact that winshit boxes suck. The shitty systems (with winshit Nothing There 4.0 sp0 for the server) were configured in such a way that any moron could damage it. This is beyond any whole M$ has placed since Dos 3.3)
aren't the best way to win the support of the administration.
It isn't hard to replace the handset with one that has a sereo jack for a pda/ipod red box. I know, I know, I know: it isn't really a red box unless you solder it from scratch, but still a cool idea.

You obviously haven't been to a Tennessean public library. We're lucky to have the latest harry potter; the chances of us having a subscription to a magazine are slim-none.
That's why I started my collection of electronics magazines including the "cold fusion in your home" issue of Radio Electronics. Funny how no one got that to work....
This is amazing! Just look at that picture quality! It claims to be 2 bit, but I only see three colors. Can I buy one and sue for a refunt?
Would this still be "/. worthy" if it transmitted 1280x1024 true color X sessions? Or only if a beowulf cluster was implemented through this?
Serious: This is a neat "geek" project but nothing spectacular. Would the height difference be needed if we closed off the system so that pressure waves could transfer?
In 1997, Nicholas Gisin and colleagues at the University of Geneva used entangled photons to enable simple - but instantaneous - communication over a distance of seven miles.
Could this be used for extending the internet to other planets? When we do eventually colonize mars, some reliable and two-way form of communication will be needed. Could this be the basis for it?
I seem to remember reading (in "The Golden Compass" trilogy?) of a creature that played a violin bow over a rock causing an entangled rock to play the same tune reporting to his commander. I didn't realize at the time that it had a basis in real (if mostly theoretical) physics.
Did DoD let the computer keep swinging at your over and over while the letters you typed 30 seconds ago appear one by one on the screen?

topX lists. I am SICK of these @#$@#ing lists.
that number was only meant for Ellen!
AAAAAH!!!
Which means that you could catch one hell of a lawsuit for sending it.
so that someone else could share my karma boost.
That's the equivalent of 1 lutabyte(1E15 bytes) or 1.5625E13 CDs in mpeg 1 layer 3 format at 64mb an album. A bill is being sent to India as we speak.

But it only counts as $20 because it isn't printed on real money. RIAA math swings both ways!
that was intended as well
Tt was intended. Spoken puns are sinning against the English language, but written ones are fine so long as they look like typos.
/me is betting his karma that this is considered funny.
until SCSI prices fall and I can cache in!!!!

Who reads the @#$#@$ing manual!?
It was only 6 years ago, but the manual had been long seperated from the rest of the unit. "Attack Right" is coming back to my nightmares.
That argument is used erroniously against crypto but the basis of it, that every effect has a cause, remains.
Do we all agree that there is a cause? Do we have any clue as to what that cause is?

When every other possible usage of Lord of the Rings movie series.
In all seriousness, I would love to see a (commedy) movie made out of this. image.
Those are the resolutions that I use on my own equipment.
That said; I would love a cave system in addition to a write-on-screen for my iBook and a backpack refridgerator to brink caffeine on the go....
It's a parody.....
