    have you looked at recent notebooks? all have either a trackpad scroller next to the trackpad for the mouse or an anolog wheel at the bas of the tracpad.

    you are an idiot. when you jump to high level, more of the crap work is done for you, it is also easier to organise your program and esiaer to read it. all of those factors make it easier to make somthing like....photo shop. assembly is not as error pron as Machine language, but it is pretty damn close so if you have lots of errors, where are all the resources being spent? Debugging the program rather than features and complexity.

    all software has done is allow Mathmaticians and engineers to come up with more and more complex systems. if you remove the need to practice the basics (while still understanding them) then you allow for more time and resources to be spent on developing more complex ideas.

    the same goes for software...whenb they jumpt from machine language to Assembly to High-level, each jump allowed more and better complexity.

    we need an open alternative to palladium so intel and amd can support that as well, then when all data is encoded for drm, MS will still have to battle open source....it is called rolling with the punches.

    most of the contraversy has revolved around the sphinx. the erosion on the sides is water erosion, not wind erosion. that would date the sphinx to 10,000 years when the sahara was still a lush forest.

    I was only adressing on demand entertainment.

    portable hardware media will always work in multiple locations on a variety of similar devices. on demand (IE software) media will only be successful in the home theater...but is that a big deal? I like watching movies in my living room, and installing a house wide audio system in trivial.

    this will be a good thing for the internet...it will remove all the comercial crap.

    looks like MS found a nice simple way to side step the settlement YET again...guess we will be going through all this anti-trust crap again in 5 years.

    intel wants to take over the server market...to do that, they need to support BSD and Linux. no way in hell are they going to limit there market to only MS PCs.

    no becasue I use my PC for work not watching movies...that is what I have a dvd player for....and don't give me the poor collage student crap.....half of them have a PS2 and they also sell $80 dvd players for your TV/tv card.

    start localy in your area, you might want to even add setting up a SOHO network for small businesses along with software consultancy. I have a buddy who began that very business in highschool when he was 16. he now comands a large volume of business and has not needed to advortise. word of mouth has been sufficient.

    all this is is a proof of concept. I mean, you are still wasting tons of fuel getting the enguine up to a speed at which the scoop and compression will work.

    I am not complacent. I was stating fact.

    just because the congress passes a law does not make it viable. it, IMHO violates sony v. universal. the supreme court decides what the constitution says, and the constitution says we have fair use rights.
