    There is such a thing as "standard conditions of temperature and pressure" (293.15 K, 101.325 kPa by the NIST) so it is possible to perform those measurements in similar conditions. And I guess my point on the hydrogen isotopes is moot too sincethere is such a thing as Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water. Duh.

    I'd be intersted to see how much "Islamic" terrorism the West and Russia faced if they stopped pissing on so many Muslims.

    Oh, we all know we'd be all much better off if, like the UK, we allowed shariah to rule our courthouses for our islamic communities.

    OTOH, those devices are very often seen as USB devices to plug into computers, with huge memory capabilities, therefore providing a cheap and standard way to transfer data is certainly a good idea.

    There are plenty of solutions for this. One of the earliest implementations suggested was the DVB multiprotocol encapsulation standard, which is still used by a few satellite operators such as ASTRA (you'd need a satellite dish and a modem to get the streams though); also, check out the more recent DVB-SH standards, that enable handheld devices to get satellite IP data as well -- obviously you don't need a dish for those.

    And I totally agree with the rest of the comment: in most western countries, middle to lower class taxpayers suffer the Stockholm syndrome and support lower taxes for the rich, while having to pay much more wrt their own income.
