I don't really know the corporate law in US... but what if you say something like - "We will donate 999$ to EFF every time we consider that the rights of our user are in anyway under threat. This is our way of protecting your freedom."
This... had more calls about this issue then any other. Instead of gracefully give you an option to open a complex pdf (think tax forms) in something else it spits a rather stupid message about updating your pdf viewer.
I don't want to be inconsiderate... but I really don't get it how could people be bullied and not respond to it.
I was a kid with glasses - think bottle bottoms lens - kind of skinny. Moved from the country to the city - in the first week I've been called every variation of names a kid could think to say to hurt me. My response was to ignore them all and do the best I could in class. When the next level came - cornered and punched in halls I changed my attitude and went from ignoring to retaliation. The first one didn't even think I could hit him, but I did. For every punch I got I gave 2 in return. All the bulling stopped that day. I've been beaten but I had them bleeding. The gang mentality didn't work because I was the one that would smile no matter what they did. And I was put in the same bench with a kid with issues, helped him with his grades and he helped me with the other kids. The kid was an outsider too.
In high school I was too big to even bother... still the nerd, but working on the farm had it's perks.
Actually what he is saying is partially true. Diesel is more efficient per liter, but also has more BTUs per liter and technically gives more bad stuff per liter. But if you look at the emission/km you get less pollution, if you look at the emission/litter you get more pollution.
Changing caps on old motherboards is my new hobby... am so good at it that I can change 1 or 10 in under 5 minutes. It takes me longer to get the motherboard out and clean it. And it takes an insane amount of time to test it. But I have a lot of dead time in my business.
I don't know how is in US, but in Romania there are security companies that provide 24/7 monitoring for as little as 40$ a month with a contract that guaranties a 7 minutes response, if you want lower you pay more. They include motion sensors & means to connect directly to their teams to alert the closest one. I own a small business and had no problems until now. But they usually call me if they see an unusual pattern - like opening at night or if I forget to set the motion sensors on after a certain hour. They even provide you with a panic button.
Is there anything like that for small business in US?
I use a different metric - if I can make the money in the time spent... fuck it - I buy a new one. If I can't make the money - I buy old. On the other hand I like taking things apart.
Side note: When I was a student I used to take the slower and cheaper trains just so I can read, but for the same reason - I couldn't make the money spent on a faster train in the time gained (usually 1-2 h).
All I see is that year on year Apple had a gain and the real value is around 450. The 700 was never real money, yes for a few thousand shares probably... but after that is down hill.
It's not the brightness, it's the contrast. I can't see shit in low light... I had myopia now after a had crystalline implants I see almost 20/20 at almost any range except in the 0-50cm proximity in low light. I could read at the light of the stars with myopia, now I can't read shit... but I can see the writing. I found that if I have more light (contrast) I can almost read anything a normal person can read.
So many people forget about how AMD changed the game more then once, It would be a shame for them to go under.
x86-64, on CPU northbridge and memory channel.
And ITX motherboards with e350 have like 4 sata3 ports - I have one of the beasts running a storage server... you have to buy some expensive motherboard from Intel to have that.
No... no... no... Let me tell you how it happens - in Romania: you take some slaves (aka students) and put them to study a small set of the problem (like a chapter of your thesis) and then you take the best works and you make them your own. The students should be punished!!!
I could have gone to medical school... but I was to stubborn to do that. My mother is a medical assistant Due to this I could probably make a good emergency triage without any additional training, take blood samples and administer intravenous and intramuscular injections. I know more about human body then anything else... even computers - sometimes I don't even know that I know it. I believe that if you have some brains you can get a really good kick start from your parents field without effort.
I have a Fiat Fiorino with no windows in the back. Just for my safety I've put a rear parking sensor that warns you with beeps if you have anything near you. It's a dumb distance sensor, but it works great, there is no need for a rear camera, yeah it would be great - but a sensor is better you can get a sense of distance from the beep intervals, even if you don't know what is there. With a camera you don't have a depth field.
Or you can do this... set a gmail account to send every year a few alerts to various e-mails like close relatives/friends with the login and password to the master account from where they can extract the rest of the info to get to the rest of your online life. Set a few others to be sent to you at various points reminding you that you should reset the alerts. If you miss 3 alerts the chances are that they will have access in a year, in the worst case scenario.
The real life (bank accounts, health related records and other serious staff) should be accessed only through the law and proof of death.
Well said! And if we are at keys we need - I'll never buy a keyboard without the INS/Delete HOME/END PageUp/PageDown keys. Probably I'm too fucking old - but I love my Ctrl/Shift+Insert and can't stand ctrl+x/c/v.

Probably! :))

Are you kidding me? Lost 300 billion of its shareholder's money? Based on what? Speculations made at the lunch of the iPhone 5?

9 and 3
8 and 4
But like a stupid person I keep my hands at 10 and 12 - I have no idea why I do this. 12 or the parking brake.

So I agree with alphatel, but nobody got paid. :)
I know... asking an AC - what is this temple rush trick? Never heard of it.
Citation needed? Where the fuck did you got that numbers?

How on earth is six ounces small for a coffee?
I usually drink one short espresso (one ounce cup) on my way to whatever takes me on the road.
You are not tossing garbage... you are using it to speed up!

What is this streaming you talk about? All I see is "buffering..." and I don't know about your tastes, but I don't like it.
I have yet to see a place where Google applied the embrace, extend, extinguish strategy that Microsoft used everywhere.
