Not only should those of us who understand high tech whizbangs boycott HD DVD and Blu-ray until this "feature" is eliminated, we need to let technically illiterate friends and relatives know about it, and make sure they don't get bamboozled by those damn lying salesmen! My dad has an HD capable set with only component video inputs. I will warn him, and if he gets snookered I will demonstrate what has happened so he returns the damn thing! Let Best Buy and all the rest be deluged with returns. If we all do this right, they won't be able to give those things away.

So, Rumsfeld and others in Bush's administration are buying propaganda, and they say it is for "getting the truth out"? The Soviet Union also called their propaganda "the truth". That is a direct translation of the word, "pravda".

It is time for that copyright to expire. Extending it would rob the public domain, and that's everyone in the U.K. The now virtually limitless copyrights in the U.S. suck out loud.

John and George cannot be encouraged to continue creating through copyright protection. Paul and Ringo aren't going to hang it up because an early recording goes into the public domain. Only greedy bloodsuckers in the recording industry would benefit from a copyright extension. I hope the British Parliament is harder for them to bribe than the U.S. Congress.

Can you name a city that has two police unions: One for white cops and another for black cops? I can. Cincinnati, Ohio.

White cops are in the FOP, but because of institutional racism black cops had to form their own union, The Sentinels. The divide between the two is so great that each endorsed a different candidate for mayor in the last election. Cincinnati Sucks! If you don't get that, you are either at the top of the food chain exploiting people, delusional, or such a homer that you think where you are is the center of the universe.

Indeed! Norton's Virus can provide nothing beyond a false sense of security. Since it is the one hackers and crackers expect to encounter, they know just how to take it out. What are they really doing here? Expanding their monopoly. Microsoft will offer an all-in-one security solution that integrates seamlessly with Windows because they made it for less than third-party software providers. Once the third-party providers go away, the price of OneCare Live will skyrocket just like Office did. It took over by being cheaper than WordPerfect and Lotus 123, you know. They were the word processor and spreadsheet you had to have in the day.
