In relationship to this, does anyone know if it's possible to disable the new dialog boxes, or get the old functionality back?
It used to be super-quick to find any file on my system, just by type "~/docs" and tabbing my way into the appropriate directories. In the new dialog, even with that Ctrl-F garbage you can't get into directories, it's annoying as hell.
I wonder if a hydrogen/fuel cell car could be created with a plugin to make hydrogen from water. Kind of like a using water/hydrogen as a big battery, but you could instantly refill it if necessary. That way you could hook up solar cells or plug it in at those electric car recharge stations to get part of your energy to drive free.
Yeah, seriously. And why does the poster assume women made the cookbooks these days? Look through the pages of history, almost all of the important inventions were created by men.
Be willing to shell out some bucks for someone to do it
I'm sure if 5 or 10 people took their $1000 for Photoshop and instead gave it to someone to implement CMYK (or some other feature) in GIMP, it would get done pretty quickly.
Episode 2 naming? have you ever actually looked at the names of the original three? They're just as bad Seriously, "Return of the Jedi" is as bad a name as "Attack of the Clones." "The Empire Strikes Back"? that's not the best name either.
Yeah, really! "Return of the Jedi", what a dumb name! Almost as bad as "Return of the King"! How cheesy.
Amen to that. (Wireless ethernet isn't a requirement for me, though.) For $400, I'd be happy with 20 gigs as long as the processor was 1ghz or so.
When I'm looking at laptops, I'm always frustrated that they have three things I don't want: a DVD drive (now most have a CD-RW, too), a modem, and of course, Windows XP (and probably Office and who knows what else), which I would overwrite anyway. But they're fairly good machines at good speeds, like 2ghz or so, for only $1000. I'm wondering, why can't they drop all that junk and sell it for $800?
So yes Linus still works, at least to some extent. It is NO LONGER SUPPORTED. Of course he still works, just not at Transmeta. And what are you doing calling Linus "it"? How dehumanizing. Also, I (and many other fans of Open Source) still support him!
Yes, I saw a good documentary (also by Michael Moore) on Canada called "Canadian Bacon." It really opened my eyes and made me realize how evil our neighbor to the north really is. I'm sure glad I live in the USA, home of the free!
On a motorcycle? Hybrid vehicles get better than that. What do you have a 1000cc bike or something? A 250cc engine should be big enough for anyone. (Get a dual-sport so you can go off-road too!)
The local show store didn't get its shipment of Reebox DMX walking shoes on time. No one is certain exactly why the shipment is late. So I guess they can't rule out terrorism...
Yeah, that would trap people in subways and disrupt the US economy...

My hard drive blew up just yesterday.
Oh wait, presidents can only be impeached for lying about their personal life, not for something that actually affects the American people.

California's population is about the same as Canada's.
total disaster (third result)
Bah, I've yet to see why memorizing more than just 3.14159265358979 is actually useful.

Okay... with X-forwarding you can run anything over SSH, what's your point?
You're telling me there are no GPL'd apps using OpenSSL?
That is what the article says, that is what is has always said. Whoever controls the present controls the past.

No, that's Simson and Garfinkel. Get your facts straight!
What is Jon Johansen doing way down there in Antarctica anyways? I thought he was in trial in Norway?
Great, she's a hero.
Make that heroine.
How about a mouse that's a real stuffed mouse with an optical sensor at the bottom?

It doesn't even contain a link to the news flash

Yeah, and the methane the cow produces would be used to power the refrigerator.
Nope.. no AbiWord in that list.
