Just because people in Taiwan are descendents of people who left China hundreds of years ago doesnt make them Chinese citizens. Just as being an American of English ancestry doesn't make one British. The original point was that Taiwanese business are indeed foreigners in China.
I would also like to point out that Taiwan is politically independant of China today. (so much for NEVER)
85% of people in Taiwan are Taiwanese, not Chinese. Most of the people over 50 were indeed born in Taiwan.
But, you do have a point, most of the rich businessmen in Taiwan are Chinese, since they were the ones who unjustly stole money and property from the Taiwanese when the subjugated them back in the '40s.
Actually the USAF stealth aircraft (F-117, B-2, F-22) as well as the army's AH-66 Comanche are built to fool IR sensors. Modern fighters are starting to get IR capabilities along with the standard air-to-air radar. Most shoulder launched surface-to-air missles (like the stinger)are also heat-seeking
Cellphone bandwidth a non-issue? If the cell phone spectrum was big enough already why did operators pay billions in the PCS spectrum auctions in the 90s? Why do you that the FCC is planning to have a 3G spectrum auction in the not-to-distant future?
Even with the CDMA-based/spread spectrum 3G tech that's on the horizon, we're gonna need more frequencies. You're not gonna be able to get a 1.5Mb/s data connection when everybody else in your cell wants to use it too.
There are plenty of companies doing this.
Namely Nokia, Siemens, Nortel, Lucent, Openwave/Signalsoft...
hint: do a google search for "Serving Mobile Location Server"
One think to remember the written Chinese in Taiwan(Traditional) is not the same as it in China(Simplified).
You also base your argumement on the misconception introduced by the former KMT dictatorship in Taiwan and embraced by the PRC that the the Taiwanese and the Chinese are the same people. (Note: Manadrin was not the language of Taiwan until the KMT "colonial" government seized control in the 1940s)
Most Taiwanese citizens have no interest in "cooperating" with Chinese. The people of Taiwan just want to be left alone and be allowed to live their own lives without Chinese intervention.

Maybr the chinese will solve it themselves when the 225 million unemployed revolt.
Last time I checked, Taiwan wasn't "just outside hong kong". There is a big quality difference between "Made in Taiwan" and "Made in China".

Actually the F-22 first flew in 1991 or 92, and also was not designed by Boeing.

Next thing you know, the Chinese government will sue Google for linking to "subversive" content.
Now maybe we can get a port of this to OSX 10.1 for those of us who don't have $120 to spend on the "ugrade" to 10.2
Let's try it linkified: here

Isn't this unconstitutional? Only the federal goverment has the right to regulate interstate commerce.
Actually, this is not the business model of network TV. We, the viewers, are not the customers, we are the product. The advertisers are the customers.
Taiwan is NTSC and has 110V@60Hz.
Don't believe everything you read on news.com
