...face it, you have to be. But a blue screen, or any sort of error dialogue is not purely psychological. I respect my subconscious quite a bit, but I suspect it to be quite incapable of conjuring up indecipherable addresses related to memory...
...either that or I have some extremely low self esteem.
It's small because it does only that which it is meant to do. You'd be surprised how many "big" applications have a small filesize when they're not bloated and include only features which enhance a user's productivity, not a user's "experience."
I'll give you Alien 4 was quite... lacking.
However Alien 3 I find enjoyable. Oh believe me, I hated it with a passion ever since I saw it. However, later in life, when I learned to look at the movie outside of the science fiction scope, and instead evaluate it as an artistic work, I found it to be incredibly symbolic and very intelligently written and directed. It's hardly my choice for something thrilling, scary, or action packed, but I do find it very enlightening.
I guess I'd describe Alien and Aliens as being a perfect mix of artistic symbolism and silver screen entertainment. Alien 3 went more towards the art, then Alien Resurrection, in total disregard for the rest of the series, goes completely stereotypical action, with stereotypical heroes, in a stereotypical sci-fi setting. I find the fourth Alien movie to be the most dissapointing.
If you do, you'll find that they merely wish to observe the social interactions of players on a massive network, as they feel that such networks somewhat mirror the dispersal of Al Quida's terrorist group.
They're not "spying," so much as they are "spectating."
I doubt we'll see any "pirates" or "hackers" picked up off of this one... That's really not the Pentagon's job.
Why does Terminator get in while the Alien saga doesn't?
What with all the physics articles lately relating to small micron process using various organic materials, one would think the influence of Giger to be very important at a time like this.
His art, afterall, was usually based on a combination of the organic and the industrial.
I don't like your ambiguous list, I call for a poll!
Hey, us geeky smokers don't let that shit happen. I clean out my comp on a regular basis. I'm yet to have a single fan or other component containing movable parts, fail on me. Smoker or no, your computer, like any personal posession, is not going to stay in top-shape if you don't take care of it. There's no reason to go around promoting baseless stereotypes.
I just look at it as a general thing. For instance, we're supposed to be going around the world bestowing democracy upon the poor souls that don't have it, yet, we're a republic. And when we go to kill the terrorists, we're not defending the United States, we're defending democracy, etc. etc...
The only thing I use that fact for is to get certain people off their high horse. Certain people who think we have the most freedom in the world, or that everyone's vote counts on everything. Only the insanely ignorant, not the people making a good argument about succeeding political processes (I don't see us as a failure, we just have many shortcomings which suit me less than others), ever hear such things from me.
My joke, and I assure you it was a joke, wasn't a "take pity on me" sort of thing, but rather I was pointing out some irony in calling us a republic. I, personally, will have no way to discourage this bill from passing via a vote, nor is it possible for me to elect officials who would vote as such since I'm independant, and thus vote for people who mirror my feelings rather than the usual people who claim to see, and work for, both sides of every issues, as though both are achievable...
Oh I've said enough I guess. Just let me again re-assure you that I sympathise with your situation.
With such consistent failures in a single setup, have you thought of checking other components?
I'm not trying to patronize you, I'm merely saying, before you go spend the money on a couple 120 gig drives, you might want to research your RAID controller, motherboard, etc.
And if it's reliability and speed you're looking for, as apposed to size, perhaps abandon the future double 120 Gig drives and instead get a couple SCSI drives. I've been running a Western Digital (favored brand) and a Seagate (second favored brand) for three years, and neither show any signs of wanting to write themselves into oblivian any time soon. Compartively, the Maxtor I had quit on me in just outside of a year.
In any event, the speed of a few good SCSI drives has kept my old PII 450 capable of competing with much higher clock speed setups with IDE drives, even the 7200 RPM ones until recently.
While my next comp won't be SCSI (money) I wish it could be. I highly reccomend SCSI drives and with the continuing extended warranty and fast access, it might be right up your alley.
Precisely. Sharp wants it to be whatever YOU want it to be. They didn't choose to load Linux on the thing just to sell to geeks, they chose it because it was more customizable, because people could write their own apps, because it could be rewritten to later support some futuristic rediculously powered CF peripheral one day that allows you to SSH into God's BSD box, anything!
Some call it over-powered, some call it under-powered. Regardless, there's one title that the Sharp Zaurus holds over every other PDA/PocketPC on the market. That title is: "Most Agile PDA/PocketPC on Earth."

"...well, let's just say you could put it in a..." ...overclocked X-Box running debian!
Well sure but... I'd never want people to associate me with the music the RIAA releases these days.
I like the plan other than that, though! Maybe there's some obscure band from the eighties someone would care enough to sue me about...

First, I would like to let you know that out of respect for your opinion, I will not respond in any way to how you might respond to me.
Having that been said, I must ask.
Could you give us an example of what you think is funny? This is strictly for the purpose of comparison.
As another reply stated, this is the sort of crime one must witness.
What if you buy a candy bar for a friend and HE litters with the wrapper? What if your wrapper just happened to fly off of a garbage truck?
Man, people are just itching to make a criminal out of anybody...
A safe assumption, I don't blame you.
Nice signature by the way.

You might read the article.

I'm just saying. Would you rather it have happened sooner than later?
Just a second I have to answer the door...
*Sounds of a soft heavy object being drug away, thrown in a trunk, and a car speeding off follow.*
Ha, yeah... ... ...wait, which one?

Well great, now that all those names are taken I guess I'll have to go with macroflaccid.
None that I'm aware of, but there are countries closer to it than the U.S.

I voted independant, thus my vote was discarded, fancy that.
Still I supposedly elected them... still trying to figure this out.
...one must ask, is this a good or bad thing?
Keep your privacy and soul, we'll still have the World's Greatest Casino.
We're not a democracy, we're a republic! And my elected leaders have informed me that I am pleased with this situation...
It's a lie!
Must be one of them new-fangled "sense-making trolls."
Ingore him, else you find yourself in my situation.
