You make sensible decisions when you have a choice between policies. You can make a more sensible choice when you have more alternatives.
GNU products are generally less expensive to license and more open to improvement and customization. GNU performs better in back-end environments.
MS products are generally easier to work with when you are new to computing. MS products integrate with each other easilly and also perform better in a workstation environment.
Open Source and Proprietory cannot usually integrate well together because of licensing constraints. I wouldnt like to make the choice for a whole government to use only one of both ideals.
Open Protocols and Open File Formats with less constraints on use would give equal opportunity to both ideals. Government intervention in this area should be possible and can be achieved by certain entities choosing one license for all products they use.
It will not be a bad decision to choose only Open Source. It can only help to increase awareness about interoperability between computers.
I say go fully Open Source just to make interoperability at a better possibility for all!
In response to the certification part; There is already GNU/Linux Certification although it isnt very widespread. SAIR and RHCE come to mind and I am sure there are others (SUSE/FREESCO probably has something). =)
No, PLMS is an add-on service so that you can backup the information required to access recorded songs online. See Media Services Downloads for more information.
Hmm, Sarge will have GNU GCC 3.2 and GNU GCC 3.2 produces faster running binaries huh?
Sweet!

Wow, it is not a big deal when you consider that GNU/Linux is Open Source. If the news doesnt affect you then do not post. People that stuck with GCC 2.* can try a nice GNU GCC 3.* compiler now.
I will still wait until GNU/Debian/Linux comes with GNU GCC 3.* before trying code compiled with the latest Version 3 Compilers. =)
Do a find for InterTrust on your computer. The player probably encodes the stream as it saves it then uses that to decode it as it replays. The original file will be needed to get the key if the key is missing. It is a good solution for one-time recording.
This is just a guess from an observation of public files.:)
I posted a question before I realized it was for University of Waterloo Students only. My question is online in png format if anyone wants to find out what is on my mind.

It says what no one seems to be thinking about. When Open Source really becomes a threat to proprietary software, big companies will use every method to stop it.
Some people actually do abide by the laws and regulations which are imposed on them. I would love to help contribute to certain products which I have used and which are also patented or licensed. I got over the loss of freedom when I started to use GNU.;)
Digital Media is expensive, it will be a while before everyone joins the crowd and by that time Digital Media may be unproductive. Digital Media Industry may collapse under its own laws.
Stop copying media you dont own (it says so right on the licensing terms). Media isnt a need it is a want and you can live without it. Pirates risk freedom to enjoy what they steal!
I am not angry at the Media Industry for what is happening to the Computing Industry. Im just disappointed at the whole ordeal.
They didnt give us TV, they rode the wave of the Television Industry. They should just grow up and accept their position in the media.
Ban Digital Media ?
Is Hollywood really this uninsightful ?
It doesnt take a genius to work out that they are making alot more money by having a presense on TV. If they dont bring movies to computers (aka digital - duh) then they are missing at least one sale (me).
Well Plucker (howtos/guides/reference program) is one good reason to buy a GNU/Linux compatible PDA *I didnt really know why youd want a PDA myself until finding Plucker). You may also want to keep notes on it, keep your schedule on it of course, check email or news, play games and music and store small personal files. Its just a mini computer. GNU/Linux is a good choice because GNU/Linux is open and free. =)
What is it like to program this PDA and how well it functions alongside your workstation. It seems powerful and simple to use from the sounds of it but whats it like to extend its functionality?

Its about time they seen the light and joined us. =)
No, I am pro-Linux and I am moderated as a Troll.
Cool, sounds like a nice book considering its title. =)
We already have force feedback mice IIRC. :\
