I just love the way the comment is phrased. Bash us for our genuinly stupid foreign policy, you can point to good fodder with Bush and his "kill all brown people" policies without making up ways to poke the space program. But of course bashing the US for anything and everything is an internatial pastime, some of it well deservered. NASA however, is the least deserving of bashing.

OK, slow down for just a second. When it comes to banking this is a great idea. The bank already has your name, social, phone, and a miryad of other peices of personal information. This is all protected by a card and one or two pass-nums, or a checkbook. Both of which are very easily stolen, with lower-teir punishments. I'm sorry but since have only the choice of give the bank this data, or use nothing but cash all the time (plus never being able to use an interest-bearing savings account, invest, get a loan etc) I would much rather have it protected by my eye, which is attached to me, and to use illegially would involve either A. Armed Kiddnapping B. Serious assult (de-eyeing) C. Murder, all of which carry SUBSTANTIALLY stiffer penalties than pick-pocketing. There is no need for a tinfoil hat. It has been many many years since any politians could be considered public servants. And government does very little to serve the "will of the people". And like was said before elections are heavily influenced by people with money, so my questios is why do we need congress? One of the ideas behind the body was that it would be too hard for everyone to get together and participate in governing themselves so we need a small group of elected people to do it for us. Well now electronically it would be a small matter for people to get involved and propose, debate and vote on new mandates. Granted there would be rampant security conscerns, but it could be dealt with. All that would be needed is a small elected body to control the website and make sure things runs smoothly. Of course to make these kinds of changes to the constitution would take an act of congress...and who's going to vote themselves out of the job? Oh well...I guess we live with misrepresentation and corruption.
