Most people choose a product based on features. They say they want polish, but then pay for features. That's why windows lacks polis, for example. MS knows all they need to do is add features and people will continue buying. Also the same reason why apple advertises all the new features in each version of osx and barely mentions that it's faster and more poished.
But if you're not in a swing stae, then vote third party. As a Southerner, Bush is either gonna win my state or if we're swing, Kerry will win in a landslide. That way, my votte for Kerry really wouldn't matter for getting Bush out of office. So i'm gonna vote for Nader. If he can get 5% of the popular vote he will get federal funding. That would go a long way towards establishing a multi-party system.
teaching our children that it's right to question the law, and to ask "Why does this have to be this way?" Anyone who believes that law is static and unchanging, based on the collective opinion of society, needs to recall "blue laws" and other such antiquities.
That's dangerous to those in power, who coincidently approve school curricula. Also, at least in GA, we still have blue laws.
Yes. It will be backwards compatable. Sony ain't dumb. They know the biggest advantage the PS2 has was it's backwards compatability. They won't waste that. Especially since it looks like it might not be feasable for an XBox 2 to be backwards compatable if the arch change is big enough. (switching CPUs and GPUs = too much loss during emulation).
But Joe User only knows that after he installed SP2, his computer quit working. It worked fine after installing Bonzi Buddy or whatever. So MS needs to deal with this to protect its reputation even though it's not MS's fault.
It would be like taking your car to a sketchy mechanic who busted something that didn't manifest itself until after you took it in to the dealer. After you left the dealer, it blew up. Most people will blame the dealer.
It sounds like a fucking bomb went off. When there are sonic booms over civillian areas people panic. And they're loud enough that you wouldn't want them over your house, plus they travel a lood way out so the entire city hears them.
If they bust you threaten to go to the media and tell them that you just disassembled every new car in the lot using just an old ibook and hi-power bluetooth transmitter.
I agree. I don't mind banners adn i may even click on them if i see something useful(rarely happens) and i wish sites would stick to only banners so people wouldn't bother with ad blocking stuff. For most people, it's not worth it for banners, but it could be worth setting up an ad blocker to stop flash ads and they're gonna set it to block banners while they're at it.
Yet I've never had a fraction of the fun driving down a hill that I used to get after working to get my bike to the top of a hill and feeling the exhilaration on the way down the far side.
Try going faster. Also, look for curvy hills. Those are more fun in a car.

actually, pretty much every pro football player is above average intellegance. I'm not disputing your point as chess players are brilliant while football players are just above average, but there aren't many dumb pro football players. It is a thinkin game after all.
While you're nitpicking everyone else, i'll nitpick you and tell you that toilets flush the direction they o based on the direction of the spray things, not the coreolis effect. You need a much larger fluid to have any noticeable coreolis effect. My physics teacher says that if you drain a 10m diameter cylinder of water over a day you would see the coreolis effect, but that's pretty much the lower limit.

I'm not sure why, my guess is that we're just too lazy to learn how to type on the telephone pad.
SMSin g while driving is 1000x more dangerous than just talking, so be glad that's all we have to deal with.

Would a cracker 127.0.0.1'ing doubleclock via a worm or virus be a black hat or a white hat?
Yes
I've read their paper and they do mention Franklin near the end.
