I often see DVD fraud auctions. Many of these are for small amounts (about $10) so people won't bother to pay up. Also, box sets that are really bootlegs tend to be common fraud items. Don't buy DVDs from outside the US and if it says it's the asian or chinese box, but the movies are english, then it's a definate bootleg.

Also, at least with DVDs, bs sellers have feedback around 96-97% while legit sellers hve feedback over 99%.

I think it's fine to ask the unofficial stores to not compete with the official stores. The Mozilla Foundation needs to get $$$ somehow. And whtever they decide on, they need to enforce their copyrights becasue copyrights need to actually be enforced, not like patents. So if Mozilla is shown to be ignoring their copyrights on some stuff, then someone could steal Moz code (also protected by copyright) and claim selective enforcement if Mozilla complained. I'm not sure how successful they could be, but it would still be a drain to fight.

However, i hoave no idea why they don't Open the irefoc logo. That's jsut weird, imo.

Get rid of the labels and sell cds cheap. No p2p network is really that great for dling music. Kazaa is full of crap, soulseek (the best out there) doesn't have a decent client that i know of, though that may change. (The client works, but the dl and search features are very primitive). I would be willing to pay a few bucks for a cd. Prehaps, the artist's share (about $2, right?) plus a little for dist. costs. So it would be $3-4 for a cd. That would be fair. Artists coutld also offer downloads for less, maybe $2.50. This does not seem like it would hurt the artists much, but everyone (except the labels) would be happy. The labels don't seem to do much to help artists signed with them. All they do is make sure as few people as possible hear about artists that didn't sign with a major label.
