yes, and who does fund these programs, the government, and who funds the government? US! the tax paying individuals, i'd kind of wish that the government would use our money wisely in ways that would benifit the security of our government's computer systems
seriously, BIA, no security... i've always wonderd about that, they do deserve to get sued, but really, NO FIREWALLS? how can someone be that damned stupid? bunch of retarded computer users mabey, or a government agency? shouldn't the government have more sense then this?!!?!?
there is one hole in that, a theft using a floppy while the user is away from the pc:P and internal spies too... but this is for physicall security, digital security is another matter, but one not to be overlooked. physicall security is 9/10 of all security:O
and btw, physical security is 100% if no one uses it and it's not connected to a network:P
hmm, they say this is a good way to keep kazaa files safe from RIAA? but really, do you use kazaa? but seriously, this is great for security, especially for thoes large buisness type things, where the employee computers are sometimes stolen, you could have a security station where the keys are stored, and they are given to the user to boot his pc, and after like 10 minutes after he boots it, he has to return his key so that if it's stolen after hours or even during the day!!! it would be secure from physicall theft. nice idea, i wonder how it would work in practice?
hmm, really? microsoft may be trying to win over linus but in the end it is all the users choice of operating systems. let microsoft read slashdot, in the end the users (and pirates, ehh) will decided.
This sounds like a jump by oracle to make more money by "Improving" the courses for the certification, i wonder what microsoft would do if they saw this. the idea is a good one, but the prices are a little bit to high
Very important people, it is nice to know people from high places help us dispell miths like this. Plus they can give us input from their current work.
First, Amature radio bands should be nationaly standardized, trying to talk to a pearson listioning on a frequancy they can't trans on that you can and the other way around is very tiring.
Second, geographical regions with tought terain should be forced to use hf frequancies, 49.999 mhz and below because of it's propagation properties. And local governments should have a say in there frequancy usage, but there must be internatioanl templates for diffrent bands and usage.
Third, radio regulation should be somthing people can vote on. people should be able to have a say in what they can and cannot do with radio bands. there should be an international radio regulation panel that regulates radio usage.
atleast that's my thoughts and my 2 cents

Hmm, interesting question. i have not tried the new "beta" or whatever but i will atempt to install it. I think that a project like this starting to come on scedule is amazing in the open source community. truly amazing. from what i saw from the screen shots i think it will leave the terminals where they are. i am not sure but i hope i can help in any way. please email me for any assistance you may require
I hope basic is on it
i once had a program that made random ascii porn! it had constraints so it looked real but it was never teh same image! put that on there as a file named after a game and donate it to the school! watch them run it! hehehehe
now, all the states should have a law like this, most ppl don't like getting ripped off by microsoft if it happend and they did not know it they should apply this law as a federal law thingy. please no flames, this is my personal opinion
i finally did it
remember the artical of the guy who deleted windows with readhat and got a refund?
i just mailed a letter with my recovery disk to microsoft an whala!
$200 in my pocket
i got refunded for xp!
Let's see...
First they charge too much for music. (my opinion, please no flames)
Second, they lower music to an acceptable price. (please no flames for that)
Third, they allow you to burn it, rip it, and burn it again
Fourth, you can distribute it on a peer to peer network
Fifth, then once distributed, it is gone around the world in 24 hours or atleast to a couple of friends who have not paid
now, does that sound like a good buisness model?
the music will end up on a peer to peer network in the end, and they will lose money.
Please no flames, corections and other comments only please
THINK ABOUT IT!
Pong has been around for years! people who used to play it on there atari 2600's still want to play it. pong is a strong game in the market today and many people still buy it. i for one would buy the joystick for force-feedback pong and i am sure many classic gamers would too. ant this library keyboard is so neat
allows Windows users to use all the features of the iPod
What happend to linux support? o well, it is very easy to add support for linux because it is open source. i could go out, if i knew how the ipod operated, and write a driver in linux for it! but someone should really consider linux support for linux is rapidly gaining market share

i did that so that the average user would not have to install a mod chip, or do anything that's really odd to do or hard to do
