If the cable company can offer it for the cost im paying for my Tivo per month, then I might switch just for the extra features. But - they need to allow me to FF through commercials easily, and not bombard me with annoying banners or ads. And it has to be FAST. If they try and stick their fingers to far into the pie, it'll be ruined. They'll need to play it smart.
While I dont mine the WINCE OS and the apps etc.. The size of all these things are just too big to carry around. Compared to a totally slim Palm, it's like night and day. I have yet to find a nice slim and AFFORDABLE WINCE handheld...I own a Cassiopia and it's mostly a clock now because it pulls my pants down around my ankles when I put it in my pocket. Belts are for the weak.

Your system is slower than a 800mhz celeron?? Please. If you're into games, your PC is def over 1 Ghz, and for a few hundred bucks, you can get a 2.5Ghz processor now.. Nice try bucko.
PSO will be $10/mo on live.. SWO wont be on XBox.

SWO is a SONY product, you'll be seeing it on the PS2 most likely, right new to EQO for the PS2. But Phantasy Star and other like games WILL be a seperate fee. Like the GC version, the XBox version will cost $10/month.
Why? It's on the friggen PC. Why play ports? Lame.

Nintendo does have quite a bit more floorspace now tho.. And over at EB they have almost totally coverted to a Nintendo store.. No matter how good your tech is, the games are what counts in the end. Like you, I preordered Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion. Tues can't come quick enough.
This is IN ADDITION to the XBox Live fee. Games like Phantasy Star Online will cost an ADDITIONAL $10/month.. When XBox live goes to a monthly fee, it will also be around $13.. So you can expect to be paying around $50/ Month just to play 2-3 games.. Microsoft is totally doomed. Hell, who the hell would want to pay a monthly fee NOW after paying even just $50 for XBox Live? I sure wouldnt! Microsoft is so screwed.
BYEBYE XBox... Its funny that they dont tell people this when they sell the product. Wonder if they could get sued for something like that.
Those fee's do not cover monthly fees that a lot of games will be charging also.. Gamers should expect to be paying upwards of $50 a month to play just 2-3 games on the XBox live. Have fun!

And that doesn't even include the MONTHLY fee's to play games like Phantasy Star online, or any other large RPGs that will be charging a monthly fee! Talk about a great way to lose money and kill your console!
It was just setting up dominos which were meant to be tumbled.. It's like getting in my car and driving it to the store and saying "I just hacked my way to the store.".. I think the guy posting it just didn't want to say "Well, I spent 5 days setting up little kids dominos with 100 other ADULTS because we're too old to be playing with stuff like this but anyways, here's the story!!! Wherees my barney doll?"
I'm all for other OS's and I did support BeOS when it was available.. but.. Windows has such a wide platform of dev tools and directx, that programming something is just too easy. I can really make what I want VERY quickly with awesome results. The sheer amount of tools to help me with this is just incredible on Windows also.. there are virtually dozens of 3d modellers for windows that are free. it's crazy.
So what the hell is this putting off till 2003 for? If you have no money because you're a Non-Profit, then you should make them pay $0. peroid. Hell, the least they could have done is forced the RIAA to PAY Non-Profits for the free advertising to pay for newer and better equipment for all the free advertising.
Stuff it if you think otherwise, this are right from the horses mouth. You can already buy the cube for $99 at EB as long as you buy 2 games with it (Metroid and Mario anyone?).. They've been making mad profits since the release. Not to mention the biggest games are all from nintendo directly. Sadly, MS will probably kill the XBox because they had no idea how to make a console.
And Halo was far from "Game of the Year" compared to the Cubes' Star Wars offering. And overall Microsoft is in 3rd place worldwide. They will never get Japan, and this means no Japanese developers, which means no decent games.
Why should XBox owners all run out and buy PC ports anyways? It's pretty sad.. And XBox live will be a huge failure, after 1st year, it goes $10/MONTH.. No kid is going to be paying that.
I mean really.. stay with the times, folks.. You might outdate your own website and life. You're doing us a disservice by not using the latest and greatest.
