  1. Full text of consultation on VoIP Receives Warm Reception From UK Regulators · · Score: 4, Informative
Full text of UK OFCOM VOIP consultation , which contains 12 Questions which the Ofcom want comments on...

Which include - What does the future hold? and Have we forgotton about anything?

One thing I'd say they don't discuss is vunerbility to things like DDOS attacks... they also don't comment on phone tapping (Though that's covered in other legislation it would be good to have included the relavant pointer here)

  2. Just like.... on A Solution for Coral Reefs in Peril · · Score: 4, Interesting

Isn't this just like sinking a ship to make a new reef, just that here instead of using an explosion to kick off decomposition, they're doing it electrically?? And with the sunken ships there's an "instant structure"....

I'm sure I used to have a free clock app for Mac OS 7.5 that did something similar...

NASA's mars exploration rover has just climbed a mountain to take a photo, read the article about the tough 3km climb, including making decisions about how to cope with 'injuries'... do you think AI is up to dealing with challanges like that yet?

The parent post asks what could be used for staining that isn't a mutagen. One possibility is Blueview. The image of the kit on the discovery site shows the DNA stain with a label "Blue DNA Stain", which is consistant with a product like Blueview being used.
From the Sigma Website: BlueView is a quick, safe alternative to ethidium bromide staining for nucleic acid electrophoresis. BlueView can be used directly as the running buffer and in the gel for instant staining of the bands of nucleic acids during electrophoresis, visible in ambient light.
