.... you can connect to any Samba share straight out of the box. I've got several shares mounted right now; no add-on software, strictly vanilla Mac OS X 10.2.x
It's a little more obvious than that --- it's a cut-and-paste Mac troll with all references to the Power Mac 8600/300 replaced with SGI. He missed the reference to BBEdit Lite, the cut-down free version of a great Mac text editor.
You really should have talked to somone in the store --- Apple probably doesn't keep dev tools installed on floor models, but I'm sure someone at the Genius bar would have been willing to install it quick.
Actually I think he was imply Palestinian on Israeli terrorism.
The entire terrorism angle makes no sense to me: A terrorist looks for maximum spectacle. What's better? To blow up the shuttle when it's 100+ miles up or to blow it up on the launching pad when there's 1) an audience 2) easier access 3) lots of terribly volatile fuel on board?
Made me snort a bit --- I'm sure the RIAA would be terribly happy that their lawyers are discussing ongoing legal strategy with random strangers. Nah... no breach of conifdentiality there.
Assuming what you say is true, there is a non-insignificant chance that such a beast exists already. Take a look at past black projects history (from the U2 on through the B2).
That's terribly odd as I've recently made two minor purchases in two separate Apple Stores (Edina, MN -Southdale and Bloomington, MN - Mall of America); each time I stood in line behind people who were making major purchases (new iBook, iMac 17, iPods, &c.) The sales staff and Geniuses at each store were busy talking with customers, ringing sales and retrieving product from the back stock room for purchasing customers.
Another poster has already directed you to the numbers from Apple's retail presence. Before dismissing Apple in favor Gateway's retail "success", perhaps you need to do a bit of research.
Why not shred in the occupant mail that's on uncoated stock? You're effectively increasing the singal to noise ratio for anyone that wants to go through the effort of poking through your compost heap for a credit card numbers, &c.

The buttons and knob you refer to are all touch sensitive pads (just like a trackpad).

They default to Mac OS X but still have OS 9 for compatibility

When you're throwing around cinematic quality film clips, the more power the better.More likely that Avid is abandoning the Mac because Apple is directly competing with them.
My girlfrienda and I caught it as wel -- it's there. There were also clips from "Feeling Minnesota" and "My Own Private Idaho"
Nonsense ---- the file is stored locally. "losing" the file is just like losing a CD.
Try changing the extension on the downloaded file to "m4a" --- it seems to clear the "protected" icon. I wonder if it clears the drm as well.

Not it just means you can reproduce the art in conjunction with reproduction of the patent.

And you just reminded me that, if he were alive now, Thoreau would be branded a radical leftist and marginalized by the media and government.

But oddly you can pay $300 for a "better" product on the Mac.
The RIAA isn't an explicit government agent; as such, entrapment is impossibly by definition.
