Sedition is illegal only if you fail to change the government. I remember arguing sedition cases in con. law... and I tend to agree with you and think sedition being illegal is stupid. I will go even further to say it is also dangerous for it to be illegal.
I didnt say ANYTHING about being trustworthy! Lets be honest I know that Mossad could come up with legal documents proving you are my 3 year old daughter. AND I know that the NSA could show my direct email correspondence to Lenin himself. AND I, especially being in the security business, am paid to be paranoid ( which I would be even if I wasn't in the security field) after all just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't really after you. What I am saying is there are 30 big ugly guys standing outside your home with the ability to come in. Some by breaking down your door, others breaking a window. Unless I am a cryptography expert ( I personally am good but am by no means an expert) and a security expert, and a linux expert who has gone through every line of code out there and written appropriate patches yourself you have to trust someone. Me, well I am going to trust the guy with the locksmith business card and teh truck and experience to back it up. After all he is an expert and if i didnt give him the keys he could still walk in. In the end it is not somuch a matter of trust as it is a matter of logic.
"I would be a libertarian but they believe in too much government"
I personally have a great deal of respect for the folks at the NSA. I am also quite aware of their abilities, and let me say this if you are going to hand teh keys to your system to any one organization you might as well hand them over to the NSA becasuse they already have them.
Seriously I work in the security field, and have worked closely with all kinds of govt. operatives from local, state national and even foreign groups in my various and sundry dealings. Nobody and I mean NOBODY has the smarts/ ability / computational facilities as the NSA. The only other group I hold in such extreme regard is Mosad
Have you seen the live action Sailor moon clip from Saban? It is simply a horror beyond describing.
Plus this is going to be from the same group that brought us more "Burn up" after it flopped in Japan.. I am sure the effects will be great... But as for the rest well lets just say teh prospect is terrifying
I have to say that Robert has put together a clean site for your anime needs at Animeigo East yo maneuver, easy to find information and works on all my browsers without a fault.
You really cant compare things like that for databases. AISITA (as is stated in the article) the big bottlenecks for both are similar in nature but orders of magnitude in scope. I currently work with a medical database where everything has to be logged. Disk access is a big factor for us, so we use fibre channel scsi (specifically Seagate 73.4GB 10000RPM) where the cost is more like 700 dollars for 70gb) (basically $10 per GB not the $1 per GB you are showing) Also there is the issue of supporting hardware but we will ignore that for the time being.
time for some napkin math:
1 512MB ecc reg pc2100 dim -> $ 78 or $156GB
1 70GB Fibre Channel Drive -> $700 or $ 10GB
Now lets factor in raid (for access speed and redundancy)
we typically put 8 drives in a bundle which tends to give us 36% of the total drive capacity (mirrored raid 5 aka raid 6 remember teh ram is ecc reg so this factoring is already in place for it) 8 * $700 -> $5600 for
36% * 8 * 70 = 200GB This give me approximately 1GB for $28 now thats a factor of 5.6 (call it 6) in price from ram only. AND i still get a prolly 4 fold increase in throughput. Not bad at all in my book.
I personally will be in a shirt, tie, jeans and comfy shoes. I may instead wear my clerical collar. I dunno though as this is not a religeous matter. BTW is there any place decent near the site to grab lunch ? I will be driving in from Dallas.
It is actually much better than most of them because it states routinely you must have "with the intent to harm or defraud a communication service". Even so its penalties and some other things are still out of bounds.
I am in the dallas area and will be going to austin for this tomarrow. I can take up to 3 other people anyone interested in a road trip?
I am going to go way out on a limb here and publish my phone number should anyone wnt to come along it is 469-766-5431 ask for Robert.
I personally love the colo company we use. They are called ColoGuys I belive he is offering what you are looking for or will be very soon. They host our server as well as several others, most notoriously Megatokyo and Aniverse.
Tell you what, show me there is a market and i will make th eadapter:) Seriously thoughI honestly think that the expense (considering most similar adapter prices) would put a serious burden on the market. Especially since it takes less than a half hour to make the switch. Now what there may be a market for is a tool to make the removal of the wire caps from the plastic modular plug.
If you feel comfortable case modding or even switching cases i dont see why you need a PS adapter. The wires are all colour coded and intividual interfaces are the same(wire heads). just remove the wire ends from one plug and insert them into another. I havent looked closely at either my mac's (qsilver 2002 dual 1ghz) or my athlon's (dual 2ghz tyan) to see which has more wires. Also since macs use standard agp and pci companents you know at least that most of the voltages are going to be the same. Of course now this question is going to bug me till i pull my service source cds out and look at the ps/ wiring on a mac.
No actually they arise through selective breeding and gene migration not evolution. Admitedly that is a common mistake though. Best example I can give involves a moth group during England's industrial revolution: As soot began to settle on trees white boths became rarer because birds who ate tehm could see them more clearly. On the otherhand black moths of the same species became more predominant. After the soot became less prominent things reversed again.. but it was held as an argument for evolution for years. Evolution on the otherhand would have generated a new species rather than a gene shift among the same. Mutations occur all the time but they are rarely benificial and often times not transmitted to its offspring.
Everybody keeps harping on about thermodynamics, and transfer efficiency (ok i havent seen any harping about transfer efficiency but its related after all). It would be silly to use such a device to recharge a phone from its vibrations and more efficient just to turn down teh amplitude of said vibrations
Now for a novel implementation: The harnessing of waste sound. There are many applications where waste sound id generated the first that come to mind are airports and rail stations. Using a vibration dampening evergy converter would do 2 things:
While I was at my father's place this summer I just used the PPPoE built into 10 and it worked fine. have you tried that? Then multi home the nic and put a cheap hub between tehm.. do you get more traffic this way? sure but since 10 base is way higher than your dsl connection who cares.
Shamless self plug Though i do still think my mouse mod would work also and of course you could make the button any size by using a different wear media I just love finding uses for McD's straws since they saved my butt on teh road one time.. well straws and some gum anways.
McDonald's Straw - I am not sure if other straws will work it needs to be thermo softening while being thick enough for wear and pliable enough for use.
With the X-Acto knife make a faint score on the mouse wheel along the profile where it sticks out of the mouse
Remove mouse cover (typically by removing 2 screws maybe 3 in your case)
carefully remove the screw holding the circut board to the upper mouse casing
Remove the wheel and action spring noting how they were installed.
Trim the mouse wheel with the X-Acto knife so that it is almost flush with the mouse case (using your earlier score) - Nice thing here is you have 3 chances if you mess up at first because you can just rotate the wheel 120 degrees and have a fresh surface!
Cut the straw latterally so as to be able to lay it flat and cut a section off which is approximately 35% longer than the exposesed mouse wheel opening in the upper shell of the mouse
Heat the straw fragment (dont burn it) until it lays almost flat on your work surface (you do still want some curve)
place the mouse wheel back on the curcuit board with the flattened side up (away from the board
place the now flattened straw fragment over teh mouse wheel centering it.
once you have things the way you want them remove the upper cover again and the trimmed straw fragment
place a single tiny drop of krazy glue on the former wheel and immediately recenter the star fragment on it
wait a few minutes as the off gas of the glue will cloud the optics of your mouse if you re-assembled immediately.
Re-assemble the mouse and you now have a 3 button no wheel mouse!
Sorry but you would be incorrect in your ideas. So long as the photos were taken in a public place and not in a concealed fashion you do not have to have the permision of those photographed.
IANAL BIWWT (but I work with them) Sounds like a violation of the students rights by a long shot. While I am not a big fan of them, this is a good reason the aclu exists. NOw if they had a court order for seizure of evidence that would be legitimate... unless the students who took the pictures were shown rioting also then it would be illegal under self incrimination.
This of course is as simple and as complex as you want it to be.
For the pure Open Source Developer I would suppose the answer is "Its the code I do it all for the code" and so it is truely free software/libraries ect.(free as in beer)
For the Hawks its "For Freedom, God, Country and GNU/BSD" not nesc. in that order
For Doves its probably something like "No Software/War for oil"
Others it may well be: "What does my software have to do with anything related to terrorism/war? Who cares"
and then finally for the rest it is a balance of all of the above and more.
I personally think that everything we do has an effect one way or another. We should be aware of it and be aware of the consequenses.
You are correct, the method of obtaining them was suspect. However I point out that the informations is very much available legally. In the case of SSN: where is it a part of public record? The same place most things are. As for the easiest public record spot to find it? Well honestly thats your tax records which are also public information. Court records are also public information, in cluding such things as marriage licenses.
you must have been hanging around my time. Punch Cards, Paper Tape and Slide Rules

Yes you can run it on any modern ppc based system. As you pointed out it is quite far from being the first.
So Chairman Bill is really a Hero?

Reduce noise polution
Generate some small amount of energy
Just my 2 yen

IBM 3 button no wheel optical mousehere are the specs for it. You can also find out where to buy it from the same site.
.. well straws and some gum anways.
Shamless self plug Though i do still think my mouse mod would work also and of course you could make the button any size by using a different wear media I just love finding uses for McD's straws since they saved my butt on teh road one time
Parts Needed:
3 button optical mouse with wheel
Set of screwdrivers (prolly just need a #0 and #1 phillips)
X-Acto Knife
McDonald's Straw - I am not sure if other straws will work it needs to be thermo softening while being thick enough for wear and pliable enough for use.
Personal flamethrower or lighter or soldering iron
krazy glue
about 30 minutes of your time.
Heres how to do it:
- With the X-Acto knife make a faint score on the mouse wheel along the profile where it sticks out of the mouse
- Remove mouse cover (typically by removing 2 screws maybe 3 in your case)
- carefully remove the screw holding the circut board to the upper mouse casing

very true and criminal records of most juveniles are sealed also .
