    Until I read this, I didn't know that the wikimedia foundation had even registered the .com domain (though, it does make sense). It appears to be nothing more than a redirect to wikipedia.org.

    No, but they're windows users. A person can have 10 years of experience with windows and not really know how it works.

    Why is it called "Linux", when it could just as easily be refered to as "Operating System Kernel"?

    Well, in that example, there would be nothing stopping the end users from reverse-engineering the hardware and duplicating the proprietary tool chain.

    Smoking, alcohol, and sex are already off-limits or difficult.

    Alcohol is relatively easy to get ahold of on a plane. You just need to be willing to buy it from the airline. Sure, the prices aren't great, but they're fairly competitive with most bars.

    But they'll change that as soon as they need to install some drivers etc.

    Short term administrator usage to install a driver isn't that big of a threat. The real problem will be legacy applications that won't run without administrator priviledges. That's what keeps most people from running everything as a user.

    These numbers are based on web developer usage.

    52% use IE 6
    54% use IE 7
    93% use firefox 1.5
    93% use opera 8.5
    96% use opera 9

    As a result, most web sites (96%) look good in opera 9, making it the most compliant browser. Unfortunately, the other 292% of web sites look pretty bad in it.

    No person shall circumvent a technological measure that effectively controls access to a work protected under this title.

    Clearly, CSS doesn't meet this criteria, so it's fine to circumvent. Really, with this wording, the DMCA can only be used to prevent circumvention of DRM technology that can't be circumvented.
