True, If not that the delay would be a nice reason for the company to lay off the administrator implementing the rules, for a even cheaper administrator.

Your major complaints about this book is true, yet, one point, however, is quite arguable to me, that is the microsoft point.
Microsoft products (i.e. windows 95/98/NT/2k/2k3) does have its place (and a large market share...) on corporate markets (on clients), therefore it should be considered as a large portion of corporate administration. I spend most of my time administrating windows even though i'm a linux admin. (Well, the good debian box does not require much administration, honestly.)

If I were you, I would have bought this book with my own money if the book review is reliable.
On the other side, this book would mean quite a number of poor sysadmins facing attacks described in the book by fellow ex-employees of their company.
almost every review of debian book mentioned the almighty apt-get in the book, and why didn't urpmi got mentioned.. am I too outdated (or they've switched to somewhere else, or it's too lame to teach, or as in the mySQL book, if they don't already know that they are not qualified enough to read this book?)
Not really, rather, these are attempts to deprive you of fair use by the evil empire of RIAA. Copyright infringement has nothing to do with restirction of fair use. </div>
It sort of becomes so when you spread warez of GameCube, on a game that is distributed with the console... (Yes, yes. I do know some of them, or even many of them don't, but all in all, this intends to be funny.)
Don't buy Dummies books for languages. Period. If you can, try to find the O'Reilly Windows 95 in a Nutshell (yes, Windows *95*) book somewhere; it looks from the index like it has about 20 pages on QBASIC.
Not really, I think that dummies book for languages are quite good when the languages are not computer languages, for example, their 'German for Dummies' is quite good...
Wait, but qbasic does not require line number and it supports text-labels! Your post should file under 'GWBasic for dummies' or 'BASICA for dummies'...:-)
(It will run fine, though.)
By the way, i think this book review should be placed in 'it's funny, laugh' category.
I agree with you for most part, yet please do note that different people may have different taste on music and different requirements in music, that is, you may well be satisified with 40-15kHz, but many may not even be satisified with 20-20kHz, like me, Well, I still demand the harmonics.
Moreover, different speakers do have different response to different sources, I believe that you will changge your mind saying 'absolutely marvellous' if you try listen to more hi-fi models, for example, alchemist amp with a marantz cdplayer, etc.
Three things. 1. You can't say somebody is making an ad hominem attack to a company because a company is definitely not a man "hominem"; and that we usually say a company is shitty because we think they are shitty, we just express our thought, and hence, we do not constitute a debate, hence the 'personal attack/corporal attack' is purely nonsense.
2. There are almost no such person in the whole wide world to do these tedious job, yet we do have some guys working on each piece of software and we can see their journal/weblog - check out the team at openbsd or so. it's a matter of trust - with free software you can either trust them or do not trust them, and still, you can use their software. for microsoft, you can either trust them or don't use the software.

In other news, slashdot is better phrased as 5/45hd.7 in this context...
actually, the main concern over electrical shock is due to the resistance of the person concerned, i.e. whether your hands are wet, or etc.

Wrong. They have that in windows 95 cdrom under the 'oldmsdos' directory inside some directory...
