Man, what where the voters thinking? Resident Evil 4 totally got shafted! Not one single award, when it was clearly the best of game of the year in my opinion.
I also liked the movie a lot, but I agree that the content was a little different than what normal movie-goers expect. They obviously used the Final Fantasy name because it was recognizable by many people but ended up cursing it as a so called video-game movie. Another thing that stood out about this movie is that it was a joint-collaboration between US animators and Japanese producers at Square, unlike Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children which I believe is an all Japanese venture (and it looks very good). Overall Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is an example of what people should be doing with CG, American animators need to wake up and stop pumping out animations that are always kiddie-oriented and start making some more mature content like that which is represented in Anime. Well, that's what I think.
I can only imagine Metroid as a CG only movie like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. If this movie is done with live actors it will most likely suck. I don't think there is any female actor that could effectively embrace the character of Samus.
That is wicked. Personally I like the Bug Net better. Someone should have He-Man's sword forged, that's an awesome sword but it would be pretty heavy as He-Man was the only person really strong enough to wield it, but still it would be cool. After that all we need is the Sword of Omens from Thundercats.
It would be cool to see if it could playback video or music at the least, and it would be even cooler if you could play music on one screen and play a game on the other.
If you want a PSX-PC parallel port adapter, you can get them at Buynshop.com for 3.95. Here's the link.

I have one and it works great with my DDR pad as well as my PS controlelr.
It's a shame there are such high requirements for PC games. Back in the days of DOS games developers actually had to take memory management into consideration because we were running on 640k ram.

Gates wants Nintendo so that he'd have a bigger profit in the Japanese market with Nintendo's popular recognition.
Who knows? 25 years after that he may just buy the entire island of Japan!

I think lack of grit is a much bigger problem in movie industry nowadays. A lot of movies look just way to clean and polished and it looks terrible.

Ah yes, I can see Alfred retrieving some Kryptonite from the Bat Cave for Batman...
You've got give some credit to Ion Storm because they're the makers of Deus Ex and are almost ready to roll out the sequel, which will be a big hit.
The NES uses a modified 6502 8-bit cpu. SNES uses a 65c816 16-bit cpu.
