    At the end of season 5.
    Maybe the detractors of the show are right. When you have to ask which time the heroine of the show is killed, something may be wrong. :)

    Back a few years ago that was the way it was in virginia. If you had a amateur radio license you could legally use a radar dectector.

    Farscape started off as a kiddy show with cute puppets, it got better.
    Buffy started off good, and went bad after season 5.

    Except that they would have no reason to release the code.
    According to the GPL they only have to release source code to people that get the binary. You can use the code in-house all you want and the general public would never see the changes.

    I guess you could argue that putting it in a missile would be the same as inbedding it in a ROM, and putting that in a PDA. In which case I guess that thoses hit by the missile would have the right to request the source code, but IANAL.

    Except that the price for the client with HD,processor,memory is cheap. By the time you factor in the cost of a network able computer vs the dumb(x-term, terminal services,etc) terminal the costs are about the same.
    So now that you have a cheap smart terminal whith the capability of running its own applications, why spend large amounts of money on a huge network and backend servers.
    From a management standpoint x-term type machines would be great, everything stored on the servers for backup; easy management, just replace a broken one with a working and the user is back up, and users could move around and keep all thier settings. It keeps being tried every few years and keeps being rejected by corporations.

    IIRC, and this was from some radio news.
    For NASCAR the vechicle needs to be manufactered in north america (North America Stock Car???). This year the daytona 500 had the first Toyota vechicle because it was made in some US plant.

    SO DOES CPAN! and you can look at/change the source of those! I seriously doubt there is a canned Application Server with a 'useful code' library that can compete with CPAN.
    The developer exchange and cold fusion library for cold fusion comes close, but that only include web based stuff so it looses out to CPAN because it contains alot of stuff that would is not likly to be used in web development.

    If you want to carry a sharp weapon type thing on a plane, just get a music CD precut it in shape and then sneak it in with some others. Just make sure you are not using a CD-R you don't want to get the RIAA mad at you.
    But then again it would be far easier to get a ceramic knife through.

    They make huge amounts of money for thoses nominated or that win. A nominated movie rereleased can expect to bring in 2-3 times the amount of traffic then an un-nominated film, and if it wills it can expect a very huge spike in sales.
    How many people would of seen "monsters ball", "the hours", or a bunch of other films if not for the oscar news.
    BTW they do a technical awards for sound, grip,etc but they are all given the night before at a different ceremony.

    I once had a 3 hour wait at the airport so I actually answered correctly on thoses questions. I had left my bags at a paid train storage area, and in the storage area of the train. The person at the desk just looked at me and said to answer that I had packed them and they had been in my control.

    It won't work with regular household plastic wrap, it is to thin and melts or holes open up in it, same with the heavy grade commercial stuff. However a few layers of the heavy commerical stuff is good for giving your college dorm mate's stuff that "wrapped for your sanitary protection" look when they leave for the weekend.
    Also hobby stores sell the good stuff in a multitude of colors, used for model plane builders.

    Frankly I am not too worried about the funds, besides the defense funds would go to microsoft,symantec, best buy etc.

    Based on the actions taken I would bet that the woman is a friend/relative/employee of the legal firm representing her.

    I had to sign a piece of paper stating that I would absolutely sign up and use DirecTV service for a minimum of 6 months or a year. Was this because you were getting one of theses purchase 6 months service get the receiver for free type deals? I would be interesting if it ever came to having to sign the contract at the store, also if you gave the software away you would need to have the receipiant also sign a contract.
    Hey I got the the latest game for your birthday. Please sign this 10 page contract before you open it.

    However it would end sales of software to thoses under the age of 18 in the US.

    This does strike me like they are getting PR information from the person who told Intel not to offer replacements CPUs when they had that math problem.
    The first person who gets thier disk back is going to post it to the internet however people are still going to send them floppies just because the company is acting stupid. They could of just posted the code, taken a hit on thier server from the few who would actually download it, and be done. I would guess the actual reason for the disc request is that they don't have the code ready and are using the mail and processing time as a delay tactic.

    Except that the GPL gives you rights that you would not have, under normal laws dealing with the code, the copywrite laws.
    So if the GPL is ruled invalid the sourcecode would fall under the copywrite and castle or microsoft would have the same rights the that code that you do to microsoft code.
