They havent even sent a trained man to Mars yet and they are already thinking about a private mission? Don't know about you, but even if i had the money the risk wouldn't we worth it.
That's good news. If we had people patent things they made tens of years ago...the wourld would go crazy. The lawsuits, the infringements. If the patent would have went thought, companies would do a lot more of those tricks. Release now, patent later. When people are dependant on it.
All this in an effort to promote their HD walkman? Why didn't Sony notice this before? I mean, they have plenty of portable audio out there. By Sony or otherwise. It took them that long to realise that not everyone who rips cd shares them?
I wouldn't be too sure about this. XBox is basically a computer. Which means that the interface for the games are on the operating system API. Once you install another operating system, that will be it.
We are reading more and more about DRM technologies and at same time we are owning less and less. Suddenly there's a service to attach to each product to pay for... Im curious if anything we will make in the future (When DRM will be widely used) will be owned by of or will it be owned by the company why made the application? I think that that is a stunt to watch out for...
Im curious how did earth rurvive so long with all that mass moving around in space...Because we will have to deal with a situation like that sooner or later, will we be ready??? Somehow i don't think it's as easy as nuking it.
Don't thing's like that exist now? I think Unreal Tournament 2004 can be plays on windows and linux. Althought on windows it uses DirectX and OpenGl on linux.
Don't thing's like that exist not. I think Unreal Tournament 2004 can be plays on windows and linux. Althought on windows it uses DirectX and OpenGl on linux
It sounds like ther are paving the way for some sort of new technology. Parhaps they want to enter new market or direct current market(s). What they speak of if think sounds very much like a mixture of IPv6 and palladium.
Is that a good idea? That would solve the problem of trees being cut down but, now we are using batteries or rechargable cells which are not as biodegradable as paper is.
In addition to that we are becoming VERY dependant electricity. Also 2mb/50page memory is a start, as the time goes by they'll store more and more. Imagine what would happen if the battery went down just before you needed the information you previously stored. A ploblem arises that you don't get when using a piece of paper.
I don't think that idea will take-off, i don't think people would use powered "pen" and "paper". I think it would be too inconvenient.
Im only new to linux. I've started off using Redhat, Mandrake, Debian, Caldera and some other minor linux distros and i found that Slackware was the easiest to install, setup and maintain out off all of the above. I also like how the packages are not modified.
I always looked up to opera as one of the best browsers. Mozilla compares quite well to opera only, why is Mozilla so big? 12mb without java. This makes me think that Firefox and all the other products have still a long way to go.

World domination comes to mind.
Why else thy to enter media and entertainment?
Does this car come with stealth?
How much is it extra?

Really??? So the interface to play XBox games is hardware based? I stand corrected.

"applications such as Linux"
What's that mean? Is linux the operating system used with it? Or does it mean that it can be installed over current operating system?
Sounds damn good thought, wireless... Well done to the people behind this.

Freely available hight quality product with support? Who's paying for the developement?
Could someone tell me why you would want to do that?
First they found new planets and now a new ring, how is it that they didn't see it before?
More competition for MS. The more alternatives, the better. I only with that there was something to compete with directx
It's weird to see intel not leading the market
If it isn't, it must be bloody close. How else could SCO launch lawsuits on linux?

Internet explorer is crap comparing to alternatives. There's so many other browsers whish are better and less buggy the IE.
Buy it online, it seems like a good idea...but, soon the online stores will be hit too. Parhaps worse then cd's
Could it be because they RIAA can sue anyome in the USA (im not too sure about UK) but outside of US it's a bit harder
