No, actually I'm infinitely more confused:) however I believe there is one simple reason to have solo content in MMORPGs. Players want it. I like grouping, I like my guildies but most of all, I like that I can log on at any time and not need to find a group if I want to level. I can grind, I can quest...I think other players like this too. I can be part of the herd, or I can wander away. Freedom to let people choose how to play is one of the many factors that have lead to WoWs success.
Why? I'm not really sure, but for those of us that buy wine as an investment and not only for consumption the person who rates a wine and the rating they give it matters a lot. If Robert Parker declares a wine to be of a superior standard the value of that wine jumps considerably.
So no, we aren't just drinking it for the flavor, often times we are storing it for the investment.
I completely agree. Since the machine is only on white wine so far I see that they are having difficulties with reds. I'm going to consider port a step beyond red and hope I'm long dead and gone before a machine tells me what a good port tastes like.
If they develop this, wine enthusiasts will just pay more for wine judged by humans.
While I assume it would be nice for the developer to add things like Anti-Cheat
I'd say these days it more of a requirement than something nice. Unless you are tacking on multiplayer as an afterthought you really can't expect people to just play nice...because your original topic is pretty much on target.
I'm a MS guy so when I think of track changes by users I think redlining/blacklining.
Is this something like a config file that keeps track of toolbar/font/etc. customization and such? Is OP saying he wants to keep these configs for every user but not use roaming profiles or network shares? If you have your laptop #1 in the field and user Bob logs in and changes default font to Helvetica, you want Bob to have that set as default when he uses laptop #2 on a different day? If not, as another suggested, store the user configs in all users profile. Otherwise maybe use folder replication on user profiles when they login to the domain?
Why couldn't this have happened during my business day? For just once when a user calls and asks "is the internet down?" I'd like to be able to say "actually, yes, it is."
I've worked in many restaraunts and I've never had a manager steal my tips, credit card or otherwise. I made quite a bit of money waiting tables even @ $2/hr + tips. I don't this this rate of pay is really an issue.
I don't understand how you belive waitstaff makes only $5/hr with tips? Are you using some sort of anecdotal information for this? A waiters tips are his tips. There is no offset with the hourly wage, nor in any place I know of or have worked in does management take most of your tips away and give you back $3/hr.
Waiters are not low wage earners. Yea the benefits are usually nonexistant and the job certainly isn't any dream vacation, but I certainly made more than $5/hr.
I'm guessing that's a joke? Take away the compass and you'll probably find more and more people travelling with these items every day.
What countries in particular are you talking about? I've travelled a bit around the globe and taken everything except the compass (the GPS served that purpose) on every trip. Obviously in the Third World these items are susceptible to theft...
And may I ask, how do you know that I don't contribute to Wiki? Because as a matter of fact I do.
I also volunteer my time and money with organizations I find worthy.
Why don't you stop making assumptions (because you know what they say about assumptions) and take a reality check. This system might benefit you, and I'm happy for you on that point.
I've found that cutting the string that supports the ball or disk in the center is the best method for dealing with them. The neighbor generally doesn't notice anything different for quite some time and when they do, they are usually stymied as to how to fix it.
I'm sick of so called "journalists" posting whatever they want. This is a valid question. I was trained as a journalist, I worked at several medium sized periodicals (trentonian, trenton times) and really think that my ethical training was an integral part of what I learned. Yea, mebbe I'm no Sam Donaldson, but seriously, what is a journalist? Some blogger w/a audience?
I'm not sure if you are trolling or not, but one of my former coworkers was a fairly notorious troll and I used to wonder if somehow I'd wind up getting banned by/. as a sort of "guilt by association of IPs" thing.
But then again some of his trolls were pretty funny...

I have to admit it got me hot and bothered anyway...

Looks like they forgot about Poland.

I've never had this problem. I've used it many times and left a tip.
always use that pesky "preview" button.
I saw this on Engadget just today.

Had he been a MOO3 fan he would have never been able to complete the design. He'd still be downloading user mods to make the #@!&*! game playable.

These fingerprint scans for PC use are a stupid idea implemented by some town in Ill. I've never heard of. I'm sure that program won't fly...
Let's stop creating solutions for problems that don't exist. We have enough real problems in the US that need solutions...
AWESOME
This is the point of all blogs.
Blogs are diaries open to the world.
Some are good, some are bad.
None to be trusted.

Mod Parent UP!

Yea they just grow up and take pics up schoolgirl skirts and fondle them on subways.
It's been done before and will probably be done again. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_limit
I got an ad saying my computer may be infected with spyware...but then it switched to some girl in panties so all was okay.
Naw that guy wasn't funny. It was the guy who was copying a file on his Mac forever...
But then again some of his trolls were pretty funny...
