While some are all go for nanotechnology, others see potential for danger. Remember, people were afraid of vaccines, but they were also afraid of CFC's.
Not really. The vulnerablities in Linux/Solaris have been fixed, thus it is a security issue. The vulnerablities in Windows are still current, thus it is a bug.

People have already theorized why sundays aren't present (different color, faded) but what do the characters to the left of the numbers mean? Image here. The top one looks like Pi then H.
Huh... Post subject would literally translate to "Is pluto or sedna a planet?" implying a choice between the two, an either/or scenario. However, I believe the poster ment "Are {Pluto|Sedna} planets?" which sounds strange, but parses better, to "Are pluto or sedna planets?"
Yeah, but to provide incentives I go back and up previous posts of a poster who answers my questions. Call it mod tyranny, but it gets questions answered.
Mod points to a poster who can point me to a download site for this or something like it, want to try it myself, will put a little speaker by the fan. Or is this not the way it works? Would a computer be too slow to pull something like this off sucessfully?
For more info, you might check out 2600. They've been doing this for quite a while now, i think they own fordreallysucks.com . It's in court right now AFAIK. Donate to their lawyers if you care.
I'm just trolling for opinions here, anyone think this is a good time to hop on scox? I'm in it to make $$$$ and am wondering if the stock will go up. What do you think?
Yeah, there's this thing called Inertia and Impulse. 2 oz of shot at about 1km/s would be enough to throw the thing WAY off course, likely to never recover.
The software is freely distrubed eh? Could someone please pick it up, figure out how it works, so I can make everything I own uncopyable? I've been trying for a while, and the best I've come across so far is this. But even that's not perfect. I want everything I print to be totally uncopyable. Just to see if I can. Oh, perhaps the GIMP people could pick it up, because they are software manufacturers. Or is this one of those things the DMCA won't let us reverse-engineer?
Hey! The primaries aren't over yet! Quit picking who's electable and who's not! Kerry and Bush are not the only possible candidates for President! It's exactly this kind of coverage, when you don't even think you are doing it, that contributes to the elitism of politics. You want to support the little guy, the average joe, give him a voice! Don't just assume that people will nominate Kerry because he's winning! Dammit, I expected better of you/. editors.
You obviously don't know crap about economic theory. Free trade relies on the idea of comparative advantage, that one place is inherently better at doing something than another. When Indian programmers are just as good as American programmers and there's no transport cost (facilitated by internet transmission of code), then it really is a race to the bottom to see who can pay the least for the samee service. There's no advantage to hiring US programmers, so it goes to India! In short, we're screwed! And, as posted earlier, it's a one way ticket! We can't get visas to work in India, and even if we could, it would be for 1/6th of what a programmer would make here! So don't give me bull about capitalism. This isn't a debate about capitalism v. socialism. It's protectionism v. free trade, and right now free trade is winning and the American programmer is losing.
A tool is not ony used for one thing, folks.
Oh. So buying movies from those street vendors before they are released is ethical. I'm glad they cleared that up.
And perhaps more troubling, god forbid if I make something for myself. Innovation is doubleplusungood.
Coming Soon: The Junior Anti-Piracy League?
Orwell is teh r0x0rz.
Oh yeah. It's now Iran, Iraq, N. Korea, and 1337 w4|23z d00dz.
Yeah, it's the Hiibel case. See his website.

Our censoring overlords think there's sex and nudity in Apollo 13! I must have missed that....

I dunno about you guys, but this seems doubleplusgood to me!

Actually, no, I don't, could you post a link?

Apparently neither. It's free as in invite to an exclusive private party, you have to be fairly important to get it. At least that's my read.

The Mars rover goes a few feet a day, tops. These things have got to go 40mph average. That's a mite different...
Yeah, but perhaps the reserchers have never been here. They'd be singing a different tune...
