TransferJet is an extremely simple wireless technology which eliminates the need for complex setup and operation. For example, just touching a TV with a digital camera enables photos to be instantaneously displayed on the TV screen. Alternatively, downloaded music content can be easily enjoyed by touching a mobile phone to a portable audio player. TransferJet can be used as a Universal Interface among a wide variety of consumer electronics devices.
I've been with a few companies so far, but this year I am working on contract for a firm in Ottawa, Canada.
We are closed Christmas and New Years, so we get those two days off paid. They bought us all Greek take-out platters for lunch the other day, had a draw for 5 sets of movie tickets between 20 people, and draw for a pair of hockey tickets between 8 of us. In all my working for different companies I have never been treated so well, and its not even big things, but at least its better then nothing, or a draw for 1/1000. I even won the movie tickets with a 1/4 chance of winning.
Just wish more companies were at least like the one I work for now.... sad knowing the next company will not be so nice.
But this guy sounds like he should open his own holding company, if he wins this he can be the one that squanders the squanders...
I actually wish him luck!
Jokes aside, I also purchased a dual core computer back in Feburary. I can't say im too impressed with dual core because I am maybe a minimalist multitasker. I think my ideal cpu would be have to be customized really, perhaps that will be the big market once people get tired of cramming in cores.
Imagine this senerio:
You pay X dollers for X amount of on die cache
You pay X dollers for each additional core over 2
you pay X dollers for a custom cpu (ie $100-$300)
I know this is expensive now, but intel could probably find a way it can make the initial process for cpu production streamlined for this market.
Imagine paying $800 for a cpu with 6 cores, 2 cores with 2mb of memory, 4 cores with 512kb. (just hypotetical)
Windows could allow you to map the 2 cores with 2mb of memory for your intensive applitions and use the other 4 cores for things like web browsing and email.
The problem with 4 cores is each core gets the equal amount of cache and not all processes are as intensive, so its not as efficent as it can be, more cores will solve this probably, but thats millions down the road, and sooner or later we will be tired of hearing about cores as much as we are about clock speed by now.
At my workplace we have a desktop for our own company usage/personal usage which is unrestricted, and them a tablet that is locked down for use on the clients network. Makes tech support fun again, and I'm actually really productive when I have work to do. About time companies start to notice this trend.
Althought I know this is the case in alot of companies,
I'm not quite sure what companies this article is referring to, I see refrences to HP but I can honestly say I get paid more then I should for the L1 software support for one of the big three computer manufactures;)
Here in Canada, I find alot of my friends already have firefox.. and they arn't technical. I end up opening IE and then I notice they have firefox already... craziness.:D
I'd say thats the bulk of it..most people have at least one of those.. about:blank is the worst.. or one of the ones that strip out the winsock files when removed by adaware or spybot. I never thought of making a big list of what is found.. I normally put best effort into everything but spyware to be honest due to the sheer volume of it... especially since we are expected to remove it as quickly as possible.

What happens when you decide to leave a company, I guess they have to remove the implant?
You work two jobs and you end up getting double implants? I wouldn't want this.
No you forgot: 7) Join bush and blair and declare support for IRAQ without any real support 8) Profit!!!
This happened to me while I was working for Sitel

I know its beyond our times.... ;)
But it would be damn neat if you could customize your cpu you must agree

Just my opinion imo.
I for one... Will... wait for those 80 core CPU's intel said they will have in a 'few' years. I'll refuse to upgrade till I get one! :D

Is the wi-fi access free or fee-based?

It does it use unsecured wi-fi... :-D
How can a $300 software package be cheaper then free? ....me wonders...
Looks like you might want to read the two articles.. this one is the lite version eh...
SlashFood
Food For Fat People. Grams for Pounds.
Made me hungry .. then I realized I wasn't on a food site :
Software support is out of canada - but its fee based..
yes hardware is out of india still, which is where the gold support etc comes into play.
1) about:blank
2) coolwebsearch
3) ewebrebates
4) tvm.exe

It's called Adaware + Spy Bot + CWShredder + Adwareaway
;)
Most commercial applications don't remove everything - I think If dell were to make said patch you would have to pay up
It isn't true, try calling dell software support for help i can almost guarentee you these comments are racist ;)
The odd time you get someone in India you don't understand why not just call back?
I do tech support at said company.. and spyware is horrible...
you almost pray someone will call you that has deleted random registry keys or doesn't know how to use a mouse.
