Zombie Simulator!
I was playing around with this zombie simulator about a week ago.

Very similar idea. Watch how an infection spreads throughout a population. Be sure to check out the variations on the bottom of the page. There is one that lets you fight back with nukes, too.
I say why spend valuable research dollars studying real infections when we can have a ZOMBIE simulator for free? =)
We used to do something similar back in programming class back in high school. We Called it "You've Got Mail, BIOTCH!"
We would cram various items (notes, paper, broken pencils, chalk) into your neighbors' cd-rom drives when they weren't looking or got up from their seat for a bathroom break.
As soon as they sit down, you say "You got mail, BIOTCH!" and hope the teacher doesn't see the broken pencil sticking out of the CD-rom drive.
It was definetly was worth an in-school suspension! =)
How many cellphones are going to be dropped out the windows from busses and cars because of this new technology ?
When will science consider the ramifications!!??!?!?!111oneone
=)
Who on earth needs a terabyte of storage? And more importantly, Why would we want it on a non-hard disk. The massive storage would be so much better on a hard disk. I can't imagine wanting to carry a terabyte with me on a disk!
Hahaha, just wait a few years. If history holds, soon we will all be asking, "Who on earth needs a petabyte of storage?":-)
According to the Pogo site, they cost as little as 44.99 GBP which is $77 USD! Cheaper than a palm, and it appears the network only has to support data calls so all the biggies networks in the US (Verizon at least has GPRS right?) are compatable.

Get something that is solid state. Like an IPAQ. Then connect a monitor and a keyboard to it. No fans, no moving parts. Good luck!
http://www.rcrnews.com/files/globalcarr.PDF Sorry, Looks like Cingular offers GPRS, not Verizon.
