I live in western Michigan. We now have 56 windmills in my county. There is also a very large pumped storage plant. It pumps water from Lake Michigan up into a man made lake when there is low demand for electricity and allows the water to flow back generating electricity when the demand is high. Someone wanted to put some windmills in Lake Michigan. Some people stated that the windmills would spoil their view of the lake and since they would not generate many jobs it was unanimously defeated. Lake Michigan is about 50 miles wide so if they could put the windmills in the middle 10 miles that would still leave more than 20 miles from both shores. There is plenty of wind power over the great lakes but as of yet no one is putting windmills there. There is plenty of demand since Chicago and Milwaukee are both on it shores.

I know that they will pay more than twice what I pay for a vehicle since I always have enough money and they must borrow. I will pay far less for insurance since I do not need full coverage. I could see designing underground homes and transportation system so that there is a far less need for much of that work. For instance robots cooking meals and being delivered automatically. I think it will take more than 50 years for a lot of that to happen and I will be dead long before it does happen. But for someone born today it will be a definite problem when they are in their 50's. Since there are probably millions of people like me there will be lots of work unless someone decides to kill us all.
I tried to purchase diapers for my granddaughter to be picked up at a store in another state. It did not go well since they somehow lost her name and would not allow her to pick up them. I would purchase a lot more if they would have tickets around the store for items. For instance a computer motherboard that would have a ticket for it. I would just give the ticket to the clerk who would scan it and than the item would be delivered to the store where I would pick it up and return it if anything was wrong. My biggest concern is how to get a defective item back to where it came from. I have purchase item that were defective and than have to pay to get them back and than lose the shipping charges for both directions. I hope that they throw away the defective item so I am paying to ship trash. For clothes, I would love to see a computer program that would show a figure of me and than I would mix and match items on my body without having to put them on. I have a windows 10 computer that when I boot it, it will boot to a screen that says my computer is blocked and I need to call a 800 number. It will not x out so I needed to ctrl-alt-del. I found that edge was running and when I ended that app the screen went away. Windows defender is no help with this. I do not use Chrome anymore because it is infected with so much malware that at times I have more than one using my speakers to try to sell my something. Again Windows defender is no use. I am trying to setup homegroup. I get to the point where it asks for a password. I got the password from another computer but after typing it in, it tells me that it can no longer detect a homegroup until I restart and go through the experience again. I use Microsoft jigsaw game and it must expect a expensive graphic interface card since some times it will not move a piece unless I click on it several times thus making it very hard when the games gives me a time limit to finish a puzzle. The game makes me watch advertising but most of them are for other Microsoft games and a lot of them I already have on my computer. Of course if I pay them around $10 a year they will skip the advertising but I think the game is only worth the $10 so after the first year I would be over paying them.

The hard part is getting the cat food and kitty liter from the shelf into the cart and than from the cart to the scanner and than back to the cart. I than must get the items from the cart into my car and finally from the car into my house. The new cart will not help with any of these chores but will take away the little support I get from pushing the cart. So even though I am old and retired, I say to Walmart no thanks to the new shopping cart.

Yet there are a huge amount of freezers using electricity to keep food cool. The same goes for the refrigerator in my home. I have forced air gas furnace. It has a fan to distribute the air. All it would need is a way to draw in outside air in the cool summer nights here in Michigan to cool down my house. It would have to be smart enough to know when the outside air is cool enough to cool down the house. Take today for instance the sun will heat up my attic to about 85 degrees and the house to around 75 degrees. My bedroom will remain in the 70's well after the time I wish to sleep making it difficult to get to sleep. A few hours ago it was in the upper 40's or lower 50's but none of the cold air was used to cool down anything that I could use during the day.
If there is a place called heaven and if there is a just god that could not deny a place for that child than giving the child cancer would be a great gift. A computer should know about any flow in my house(gas, electricity, and water) and know the exact reason for that flow. The computer should know when every window and door is open. It should know not to heat or air condition if there is a window or door open. It should tell me if I want heat or air conditioning, I should shut the window or door. This should include interior doors too. The computer should be smart enough so that if it is cool enough outside that I should have fans to draw that air into the house. I have a force air heater so it should not be much of a problem to use its fan to draw outside air into the house. A computer should know where every automobile(within its given area) is and its speed and direction of travel and last its destination. All this information would be erased once the automobile either reaches its destination or is out of its given area of concern for privacy concerns. Cell towers would be a great help here. All cell towers would have a computer to control the traffic around it. Any automobile would communicate with the tower any problems it is having. This information would be than communicated with all vehicles close to it. The speed of each vehicle would not be up to the driver but would be determined by the computer. There are occasion where there is a sudden loss of visibility. The computer would be able to slow all the vehicles to a safe speed at the same time. The question is how much are we going to sacrifice to save over 30,000 lives every year? Of course if we knew that it would be our own life that was saved, we would demand that the other drivers sacrifice a lot. But since we do not know whose lives will be saved a lot of us are not willing to sacrifice much.

Build far enough underground and there would be little need for air conditioning. There would be no weather problems. I was given a windows 7 laptop because the hard drive was not working and it would not boot. So I purchased another hard drive but I than needed to install an OS. The problem was that the sticker for windows 7 was worn and the code was unreadable. I suspect they put the code there so it would get worn. I installed Ubuntu on it since the laptop was not even worth the price Microsoft would have charged for a clean installation of any of its operating systems. It has been working now for more than a couple of years. Ubuntu is the savior of hardware and windows is a active destroyer of hardware. There are other reasons but for that reason alone Ubuntu is far better than Windows.
There is enough computer power that we could know where every vehicle is located and its speed and direction of travel at all times. Computers in every cell phone tower with communications with all vehicles should do it. Every vehicle would have to have a gps system, cruise control and a cell phone technology to communicate with the tower. With mass production that would probably be cheaper than anti-lock brake technology. In a given area all vehicle would travel at the same speed. Weather would be constantly updated to ensure that the road condition could support the speed. I am hoping that there could be at least a 90% reduction in deaths, injuries and property loss. It might even pay for itself in savings.
I iive in Masn County, Michigan. A while back there were rumors that the state of Michigan was going to build a data center by the pumped storage plant that is located in the county. The hope was that after the state built a data center here, that others would follow. I would think that there are plenty of ways a clerk at a bank could set off an alarm that would notify the police and take air samples around a thief. One could put a piece of cardboard under the hundred dollar bills. If under duress one could just remove the cardboard with the bills. Or maybe the bank would take air samples from everyone just in case of a problem. There are probably ways of defeating this. It should also be a cable modem to so one could connect your coaxial cable to it. It should be a weather prove box so I could put it on the outside of my house. Therefore I should not have to put coaxial or ethernet cables everywhere in my house. My television set should be able to be placed anywhere there is electricity since it should be able to connect wireless to the router. I should be able to connect the tv to cable tv or to my desktop computer. I should be able to buy wireless speaker that have a remote so I can by wireless either connect them to the television or a stereo system or a desktop computer. Almost everything in my house should be connected. For instance my bedroom door should be connected so when I close it after using it in the morning my computer would know to either reduce the heating or cooling in that room until a half an hour before I would use it again. I should be able to attach a ssd drive to it and have several computer be able to boot from it. This is just a small start as there are a lot more things a smart router could accomplish.

There is enough computer power that we could know where every vehicle is located and its speed and direction of travel at all times. Computers in every cell phone tower with communications with all vehicles should do it. Every vehicle would have to have a gps system, cruise control and a cell phone technology to communicate with the tower. With mass production that would probably be cheaper than anti-lock brake technology. In a given area all vehicle would travel at the same speed. Weather would be constantly updated to ensure that the road condition could support the speed. I am hoping that there could be at least a 90% reduction in deaths, injuries and property loss. It might even pay for itself in savings.
I iive in Masn County, Michigan. A while back there were rumors that the state of Michigan was going to build a data center by the pumped storage plant that is located in the county. The hope was that after the state built a data center here, that others would follow. There are several good reasons why they should build there since there is power from the pumped storage plant and from 56 windmills also in the county.There is also cold water most of the year that is pumped out of Lake Michigan that possibly could be used to cool the data centers. I believe we are still waiting to see if anything will be built. The point is that there are places that would welcome data centers in their backyard.
I would think that there are plenty of ways a clerk at a bank could set off an alarm that would notify the police and take air samples around a thief. One could put a piece of cardboard under the hundred dollar bills. If under duress one could just remove the cardboard with the bills. Or maybe the bank would take air samples from everyone just in case of a problem. There are probably ways of defeating this. If one were to wear a air and water tight garment and take a shower in it soon before attempting the robbery but this would significantly increase preparations for the robbery.
Your mom will not miss walking around a store to pick up a few items and than waiting in a check out line to go home again. I would think that she would enjoy shopping on the internet and having the items delivered in a self driving vehicle. I think that self driving vehicles will obsolete almost all or our present commercial areas. It will eliminate a huge number of jobs. It will also save 10's of thousands of death each year and hundreds of thousands of injuries each year. It will also save hundreds of billions of dollars in property damage each year. This also will eliminate a huge number of jobs.
Right now you are right about not wanting contact with a lot of our fellow citizens. But suppose that one day you are so powerful that no one could possible harm you in any way. Suppose that you could provide them with almost infinite amount of power so that they could build huge areas with a constant temperature of say 70 degrees and 40 per cent humidity. Suppose just by living in those areas that they would be free from the suffering of either excessive heat or cold. Now don't you think you would be welcome as a hero? Now suppose that in your present country you are not considered as anything special. Suppose that you can not even reproduce since it is the law that someone must die for every new birth. Would one do almost anything to get to this new world? I would think that the more barbaric we are the more appealing we would be to someone who hopes to be a hero. It is an appealing thought that one day millions of people would remember my name as their savior.
It should also be a cable modem to so one could connect your coaxial cable to it. It should be a weather prove box so I could put it on the outside of my house. Therefore I should not have to put coaxial or ethernet cables everywhere in my house. My television set should be able to be placed anywhere there is electricity since it should be able to connect wireless to the router. I should be able to connect the tv to cable tv or to my desktop computer. I should be able to buy wireless speaker that have a remote so I can by wireless either connect them to the television or a stereo system or a desktop computer. Almost everything in my house should be connected. For instance my bedroom door should be connected so when I close it after using it in the morning my computer would know to either reduce the heating or cooling in that room until a half an hour before I would use it again. I should be able to attach a ssd drive to it and have several computer be able to boot from it. This is just a small start as there are a lot more things a smart router could accomplish.
