Their new ISP is in Toronto and it's called NeutralData.com. So will they not get a lawsuit slapped on them by the RIAA/MPAA even if they are in Canada?
From the suggestions that Vista will be immediately widely adopted, with all it's problems/DRM, and that OpenSolaris will rise out of obscurity and overtake Linux, I am guessing this article might be an attempt at satire or humor.
Because it is a hell of lot easier to just let google handle all the problems. Let's the sys admin work on more important things. I support this guys decision to use gmail and would do it myself if I were in that situation.

Maybe just the simple fact that companies like Redhat and Novell have no problem selling out to Microsoft at any moment... they get a sweet enough deal. I don't want to touch distro's like this which are tainted.

why bother with Fedora? I mean really! Ubuntu, debian, gentoo, archlinux are all so much better... heck, I'd even take mandriva over fedora.
It is now an integral and important part of my life. If some company comes along and tries to prevent me from using these open source products or supporting the community, there will be physical rebellion... or all out war.

My 15min charger and batteries have been working great for over 2 years now. I don't see me having to buy new re-chargables anytime soon. Keep living in your slow charge world, I'll take the quick charge over that any day!

I have a 15 minute quick charger (by Rayovac) and I would hate to go back to having to actually wait hours for my batteries to charge. This is a cool idea, but lets try and speed it up and then I'll be interested.

People NEED cars. The problem is that the car companies didn't act responsibly by giving us alternative options which are environmentally friendly. Not everyone can ride a bike to work, because of distance, weather, or health reasons.
I work in front of a computer all day... but I also relax and play on my computer after work. I basically live my life sitting in front of an LCD screen. I don't do work on the computer after work time is over... that is the difference. I even cancelled cable TV because I realized I never sit on the couch watching TV anymore.
Here is the actual #1 reason PC gaming beats console gaming! No need to void your warranty because of mod chips. So easy and quick to download all the latest gamez from the bit torrent sites.
Which one offers you limitless re-playability via playing with others over the internet? Which one offers a less linear storyline and more immersive environment. Which one is a true RPG and which is like an arcade game? I too know which I prefer.

For me, the big point is being able to use a mouse for FPS on the PC. Playing FPS games on consoles is painful! Consoles are only great if you like repetitive arcade style gaming.... meh, not for me.
