Okay, todays RAM can top 8GB/s, so there is no problem generating data and sending it through this like that. However, hard drives can't even reach 1/100th of this speed, so don't expect your p2p programs to go much faster;)
This can be great for sites that require a massive pipe and have fiber hard drives's or ISPs. Also be good defence against a slashdotting;)
They seem to be missing one key point. The key's can not be copied. But, a program on the CD which reads for the keys could no doubt easily be cracked into not looking for the keys in the first place.

there has been a problem with 8500+ card playing quake.. i believe this has been fixed in QuakeForge (then again QF doesn't have PPL, bumpmapping, and stencil shadows does it?)

in addition to Per-pixel-lighting, there are stencil shadows and bumpmapping. massive detail..
be warned - though the features are good, the original ID maps are not ment to be played with this. they all look waaay to dark because of the stencil shadows and PPL taking the light away from where it was meant to be.
first off, we are all used to the current time scheme, and converting would cause much much more confusion than it all generates.
second, 10 days in a week would be all the more confusing as we couldn't relate it to the setting and rising of the sun.
third, think of all the computer apps that would need fixing as suddenly they would all be incorrect. it's like the y2k bug all over again except this time it's intentional.
don't buy the game.. it seriously, utterly, sucks. played it, beat it in a day, threw away the cd. hopefully starcraft 2 will be worth buying unlike this one.
however if you turn on the Themes service in win2003, they come right back.
Today, Microsoft has released a new patch for their Windows.net 2003 Server line, fixing major security flaws.

Actually, if you go to start->run->services.msc and enable the Themes service then reboot, it lets you select the luna themes again.

Just when you thought m$ cut down on the bloat, you find out it's still there
however, you'd think m$ could be sued if they didn't, as that would be monopolistic.
*cough*
If this works out right, they won't need to make a GUI, as people who own NT already could just copy over the explorer.exe and associated files.
Matter does not create itself. In order to build these things you'd have to have ink of equal mass to what your building.
No replicators just yet, trekkies.
after google throws this case out the door, they should lower the pagerank even more.

wow, they sure did give a low picture quality for those. anybody know of some TGA's to see?
...will they have enough processing power to run at a resolution high enough so it's not a massive blur for the person gaming?
holy fucking shit this owns! where do i sign up!?
..until i can play QuakeForge on my cell :)
