  1. Nothing new on Eco-Terrorism · · Score: 2

it's hardly new. Remember fur coats getting splashed with paint? this is just more of the same. Hardly anyone wears a fur coat any more, but they're not completely abolished. the same may happen with SUVs. Yes there are legitimate uses, but most are just not very efficient peoplemovers (one or 2 at a time)

I'm just wondering one thing here: Could I bring some space-cake(both for personal use and for sharing)? it's illegal in the US... but not everywhere. And I guess getting the munchies is a big nono on a mission to mars

    yes, that would be useful.
Now please correct me if I'm wrong.. but wasn't there a problem in the US where you werent allowed to link to DeCSS, but you WERE allowed to give the link as plain text? Could have some legal implications..

As an american, you cannot be arrested for breaking other country's laws. If they do anyway, they're wrong and we will start tradesanctions, to help them see the error of their ways before they hurt american business.

Not entirely.. you don't actually have to distribute the recipe with the dish, you have to provide a good way for people to get your recipe, like a stack of papers on the corner of the table, at a cost no higher than the medium (=the paper its printed on). If they're not interested in the source, the GPL doesn't force you to stuff it down their throats. (try a distro from the cover of some magazine.. they usually don't include sources)
