    please define explicit. If you say 'shows genitals', you will catch medical sites, homepages of nudist colonies and others. those are not XXX. Your highschool teacher should have used a search-engine, instead of blindly walking to bakerstreet in the hopes that a baker is located there.

    I actively encourage people to butt in when people are calling over a cellphone in bus or train. We know you're on the train, and you don't have to bloody shout it out for the world to hear. You have the bloody cellphone so you don't have to yell at eachother, so DON'T!

    yes, you do have a right to privacy, even in public. If I go to a public toilet, I do not expect to be monitored, let alone photographed.
    I am not required to identify myself, no matter who asks. And I can do just about anything in public space, as long as I dont violate any other laws (groupsex in yankee stadium would probably be public obscenity..)
    And if you take a picture of me reading some mag on a streetcorner (which is not news) I can forbid you from publishing the photo.

    Granted, the rights to privacy in full public view are less.. but you still have privacy.

    why not just put the thing on eBay, and sell it to (e.g.) Kenia.. or any other not too rich country that doesn't have launch facilities/cash? it could be a nice boon to an emerging country..

    what election day? I think I would have seen political posters of Wim Kok, and the 'socialistiese partij' (note spelling), who are against it. the world doesn't stop just because some country has elections today.

    No you didn't... I'm pretty sure, since I dont have one. then there's ofcourse the old "lotsa money! (if you're american)", and the classic 'here... have some doodles in japanese/korean' which could fall in earlier mentioned categories but I cant read it so i dont really know.     I would protest any company that thinks it has the right to look at what I have on my computer. they will need a searchwarrant, and I highly doubt they'll get one on the flimsy reason that I might be using pirated software. And RMS is welcome for a beer, but he is not getting any access to any of my boxen just to see whether I confoprm to the GPL.

    there's ofcxourse the Ig-Nobel awards. this year a dutch guy won for a couple of porn-pics in an MRI machine, to determine the shape of the human penis during copulation. The guy is now trying to get a grant to determine the shape and size of the clitoris, which could benefit a lot of men.. ;)
