It's not the CO2, it's the methane which is 25 times as potent a greenhouse warming gas as CO2. Methane takes at least 30 years to break down in the atmosphere giving it plenty of time to warm the planet.
You could look at Australia which has wind, solar and a big battery stabilizing the grid and supplying backup power for South Australia. So far, the battery has surpassed expectations by preventing power outages and is even proving to be a money maker. https://futurism.com/teslas-au... http://www.bbc.com/news/world-... Renewables plus battery storage are more reliable and less expensive than fossil fuels.
Many EV drivers (including California where I reside) pay an EV road use tax to cover the lost gas tax. Gas taxes in the US are too low and don't cover the cost of repairing roads or the environmental damage done by burning fossil fuels.
YouTube makes it easy for anyone to post video about anything and for other people to find that video and watch it. It does a really good job at this. Of course, you are going to have all kinds of people posting all kinds of video. If you don't like it, don't watch it. You don't have to watch Nazi videos.
Sounds like an ideal way to drop out. People who would do this probably already are living on the edge. Resume? you're kidding... does burger flipping count?. Job? what a laugh... no one will give them a job. Rent a place? at these prices? Food delivery? I already have free food delivery.
One factor that the study did not look at was the number of vacant housing units. These are units which are purchased as second homes or as refuge houses by rich foreigners who want a place they can use occasionally when needed. Most major cities have a lot of housing which sits vacant most of the year. London and Vancouver have recently been in the news for this problem. Rich people buy housing in case they might want to use it someday and it sits vacant most of the time. This removes housing from the city. They are truly "ghost" housing units. Vancouver has recently imposed a 20% tax on foreigners purchasing housing and and additional tax of 1% of the value each year it is not occupied. This is an attempt to free up housing for locals who actually live in the city. I live in a "resort area" which has a very high percentage of second homes (vacant most of the year) and also an acute lack of affordable housing for locals. It seems these problems are related.
I can't wait until the food delivery robots start making their rounds. All it would take would be a crowbar for random people to get access to regular food deliveries.
Shows the value of training. I think you should be required to have a license with mandatory training and buy insurance just like a car. That would cut down on stupid gun accidents.
Estes! Blast from the past. I built and flew a bunch of their rockets about 60 years ago. Great fun. Good to see that they are still in business. https://www.estesrockets.com/
I'd rather trust a cop who has supposedly trained in how to use a gun than my Latin teacher who was generally clueless and most likely to shoot himself or some random innocent.
It's not a matter of policy makers not being "equipped" to do their jobs effectively. It's a matter of policy becoming corrupted by money. We have a corporate kleptocracy which dictates policy... and the policies they want is low taxes, no social programs (no wasteful spending on health, education, training, housing, etc.), and sending jobs to cheap "shithole" countries.
Rich people send their kids to (overpriced) private schools. Most middle class students go to more reasonably priced state schools and end up with large education loans which will take forever to pay off. Rich people and corporations just got a huge (unnecessary) tax break. It's time for them to pony up for public education.
College should be funded by rich people and corporations. They have lots of money, they just got a big tax break and they will benefit from an educated proletariat.

OMG! I didn't realize the big mistake I made.
I need to take those solar panels off my roof and plant corn there!

Most people draw a clear line between damaging property and assault.
They have to catch you first.
They have real criminals to catch first.
If you RTFA, you'll see that nobody was arrested for the incidents.

Good thing that these are good white people living in these areas. If they were brown people like Puerto Rico, they would be without power for months.
The "physical release" for theatres is now most often digital video. Film is going away. Nothing physical anymore.
Now we've really gone far afield.

Just wait until the SWAT team show up and starts shooting anyone carrying a gun.
You're going to have some additional casualties.
Would you say it was the straw that broke the camels back?
Sounds like you got the short straw.
I think you're grasping at straws here.

Lots of people would probably like to get trained as machinists so they could get those jobs.

We fund education to 12th grade without any problems. A few more years is easily done.
