You are a special snowflake. A true rebel who refuses to follow the crowd. An iconoclast among iconoclasts. Imagine, refusing to buy a new belt to go with those new pants. It's a radical idea and you are in the forefront of trendiness. We salute you!
Fortunately, there are strong economic forces now favoring renewable energy. Trump's push for fossil fuels will give them a temporary reprieve (and add more CO2 to the atmosphere along the way) but the fossil companies should be able to see the writing on the wall. Coal is dead. Oil is next.
This is true but as the open source software people have shown us, it's hard to compete with free fuel for your power plant. Oil is in trouble now because worldwide demand is declining and it's hard to keep everyone in line to keep them from pumping too much oil.
Tesla has already installed several grid scale lithium battery sites. One in S. California where they had that large methane storage leak. Others on some islands. Lithium battery grid storage can be installed and provide energy for about 1.5 cents/kWh
There are serious questions about whether or not what Apple is doing with their overseas funds is legal. The EU has better enforcement and has been after them the clean up their act and pay fines. I think Apple is pushing the bounds of legality and is certainly corrupt in their behaviour. As for me, I follow the law and pay the tax that is due. I don't go out of my way to set up dummy foreign corporations to hide my profits (although I have had advisors who recommended I do this).
The problem is that we are giving subsidies to fossil fuels. They need subsidies to survive and Trumps friends in the fossil fuel business are tapping him for subsidies. Renewables can compete on a level field. Solar and wind are cheaper (unsubsidized) than coal and gas.
I'm thinking that this might be a scam to repatriate some of the money without paying taxes. 1. Apple can use their overseas money to buy their Green bond. 2. The then get to use the money in the US and they can pay themselves interest which will go back to the overseas account. 3. Profit (for Apple, not so much for US taxpayers).
I agree. The US has fallen behind and is now a "has been" country like (formerly) Great Britain. China is the leader in innovation and technology. Now that Trump has taken us out of the renewable energy business, the Chinese takeover of that field is complete. They already produce 2/3 of the world's solar panels and half the windmills plus almost all of the new nuclear. We're toast.

"All lies and jest, still the man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest..."
It seems like you don't want to listen to any facts. Calling them "fake news" may make you feel better but doesn't change them.

Tesla built the largest grid scale battery in existence. Everything else is just hype.

Just wait until other countries start putting a carbon tax on US products produced with dirty fossil fuels.
The rate of increase for CO2 is in decline. CO2 is not in decline and it will take hundreds of years for it to decline.
I thought it was witty and amusing... but then, I'm easily entertained.
Unfortunately, even this low level of humor is rarely available here.
Try using more spaces.
Probably left to get a better job where they appreciate the vast superiority of 3 spaces.
The perfect number of spaces is 3.
Two is not enough to clearly see indents.
Four is just a waste of space.

Apple invented wireless charging... (or maybe they're just re-inventing it... or just copying something I have been using for five years now.)

iPhone users really appreciate this "service"
You'd never get past the permission which would prevent this stupidity.
I thought I'd branch out from "Ponies".

I doubt that there is a single "generic" brick in this kit. It's all special parts.
