"I know too many girls that have got pregnant during college and had to drop out. A friend of mine from highschool has three kids with three different guys."
That says to me that your friends have issues throwing their ass around town without thinking about the consequences.
I'm no prude, but if they're not going to use their head, they shouldn't be fucking.
Honestly, bunch of clowns get upset that some 'exclusive' in game items of zero real world value are going to take them more time and / or money to aquire than they would have liked.
If lists such as this give you a hard on, why not just list the top 100 influential *people* in the gaming industry? Why bother segretating the sexes via list?
I thought we stopped doing that in junior school dodgeball teams.
Billy plays a large part in Comic Book : The Movie (google for it), a mockumentary about bringing a comic book super hero to the big screen.
It's great watching him in this film, he comes of really quite sly and subtle in his humour, probably something that doesn't come across too well in print.
Of course, the Futurama DVD's with commentary including Billy West are just hilarious, oddly enough I'm watching Season 3 again right now.
"The engineer says the project in question was described to him as "super secret," and Apple would not even tell him the exact nature of it until he had been hired and signed a non-disclosure agreement."
Anybody want to place bets on his chances of being hired now?
I have occasion to work with a large, large number of HP products every day. Several times a week, something will fail.
My calls to the HP Bangalore helpdesk are possibly the worst part of my week. What used to be a simple matter of spending five minutes telling someone from HP (that lived in my own state no less) what the problem was and having replacement hardware sent out, turned into at least a 20 minute "conversation", trying to get through the painful script reading bastards.
Same goes for Dell, IBM, almost any vendor I'm forced to deal with these days.
Fuck IT, I'm moving into law enforcement like I should have done eight years ago...:|
How many other First Person Shooters had been released between HL1 and HL2 hitting the shelves?
I enjoyed both games, but between the two I'd been constantly assaulted with a few hundred more "FPS 2000 +1 EX Edition (Now with zombies!)" and honestly I've become pretty disinterested in the entire genre as a result.
HL1 hit and it was earth shattering. That nostalgia probably accounts for a lot of its remaining popularity.
Why would I want to?
I subscribe to half a dozen different podcasts mainly covering 'soft' science and politics and a couple of entertainment ones, I can't get through the day without my daily Pennradio fix, but why would I want to listen to people talk about video games, trying to describe game mechanics or graphics when I can find that information without the waffle in less time?
A couple of looks by some reliable websites and I've seen what the graphics have to offer and read about the game mechanics. There's only so much that can be said about modern games anyway.
Even better, I can throw on the telly and watch Morgan Webb talk about games for half an hour.
That comment is presented way out of context. He's clearly referring to his 'old fashioned' whiteboard and copying the information from it to his tablet manually.
Beazley is a loudmouth and has no idea what he's on about.
I've traded a few emails with various members of the labor party and none of them actually think this will work (or is even remotely useful), it's a way to grab favour from the "Will somebody think of the children!" crowd.
That said, just to make sure how I feel about it, I'll be regurgitating my previous emails to all appropriate party members, I'd suggest all Australians do the same, just in case.
I own them all (despite the constantly shitty local region pressings of the discs), I buy Futurama merchandise, what the fuck else do you suggest I do to show my financial support?
I can't see any justification for the high price of games these days. It's not like we've got massive amounts of money to throw around as a nation (the mean income certainly seems to be falling to me) and entertainment sure as hell isn't getting any cheaper.
Hell, neither are other aspects of life.
I'm not basing this on any real figures I have, just personal experiences.
Down here in Australia, we're two weeks away from the Xbox 360 launch (23rd March it hits shelves). The console itself is going to set us back AU$649.00 and games are an average of AU$120 each.
One hundred and twenty fucking dollars? Give me a break. I had a hard enough time justifying a game at $80 or $90, but to bust out a three figure pricetag is just ridiculous. I've got a "good" job, my wife and I have plenty of disposable income and we're both quite enthusiastic gamers but we've just been priced out of the market quite frankly.
If people with a few grand a month to basically throw away are being put off by the cost of this "next gen" crap, what's that going to do for the guy who will need to spend two weeks of his income just to pick up the console and a couple of games?
I really do hope the 360 launch flops down here, it sure as hell deserves to.
So?
The Super Nintendo sold out 300,000 units.
Sony provide less than a hundred thousand to an amazingly gadget hungry market and it's now headlines that it sells out?
Yeah, and your website says you're a hypnotherapist.
The day I take my technology news from you is the same day I start consulting pixies for stock tips.

Will Halo 3 finally include that missing 'interesting gameplay' feature that seemed to be cut from the last two?
"Waaaaah waaaaah waaaaaaah."
Honestly, bunch of clowns get upset that some 'exclusive' in game items of zero real world value are going to take them more time and / or money to aquire than they would have liked.
Cry me a river.
Unless there's a course these days that specifically covers outsourcing techniques, take a look at the management courses.
... we've been paying between $90 and $100 for new games for the last few years. Not impressed with this shit at all...
... I can see it now, GuitarHero II featuring Krunkmaster G-flex Gomoney Daddy G.
You're busting my balls MTV, busting my god-damn balls..

... read the WoW forums and see what this kid went through.
Insane, paranoid shit like this is exactly why the fuck I won't be visiting the US-of-A or Canada in a hurry.
Kid admits to losing his toy in the toilet, bomb squad comes in and they interrogate him in that fashion? Fuck that for a game of soldiers...

Keep an eye on what he's reading yourself.
Many thanks to Billy West for taking the time to do this, great read!
Bring on the return of Futurama..
Smith posts on his boards (and others) on a very regular basis.

That's just what God wants you to think.

hrmmm... I do have that time off, time to learn flash.
