The other problem he has is that whilst Firefly was a quirky, charming series the movie Serenity was a complete hotch-potch pile of crap. It sucked bigged time and really showed that Wheedon's directing skills simply didn't transfer from the small screen to the big screen.
IMNAB (I'm not an American But;-) I understand you have separation of church and state and that your supreme court previously ruled creationism could not be taught in public schools (which I believe for a constitutional point of view is more important than it being taught as science) lessons because of that. I assume this judge is either equating ID with Creationism (which it is) or applying it directly to ID.
Okay here's one for you: explain the eye. It either works or it doesn't. There is no evolutionary intermediate form that would function so how could it have evolved?
I don't disbelieve evolution but neither do I blindly believe everything the scientists tell me is fact That's rather the basis of science.
As an aside: did you consider that God could, by definition he's omnipotent afterall, have forged the fossil record? I think most Christians believe he's not like that and so didn't.
The difference is right at the start of your comment. Do you think the guy switching the barcodes to buy ipods for $4.99 was going to give them away to the poor? Also the idea that any corporation in the US pays US citizens a "starvation wage" is laughable.
I hope you guys aren't relying on your programming skills to earn a living.

Your monsters "it does everything" function was bad practice 30 years ago!
And the fact that the police aren't up to the job and can't do whatever they need in a timely manner can't possibly be a reason to lock people up without trial for 3 months! WITHOUT TRIAL!
The police in the UK have far too much power as it is. Of all the democratic countries in the world we're the closest to a police state. Tony Bliar even had police chiefs lobbying on his behalf for this 90 day detention (see many of today's UK newspapers)! Police are not supposed to be involved with politics!
To give you an idea of the power they already have. I was walking home a couple of months ago. Two policeman pulled over and arrested me. The reason? I was wearing similar clothes to a burglar. Apparently fawn is a very unusual colour for a suit (it was bought from Marks & Spencer so yeah really rare). I was locked up. Because I had been arrested, the police are allowed to search my home WITHOUT A WARRANT! My wife was in the bath, heard a noise and discovered 3 policeman in our hallway. This was the first she'd heard of my arrest.
I was finally released (and my trousers returned!) when a detective sergeant decided I couldn't possibly have done it. I was, as I had told all the officers I encountered, in a meeting in another town with 10 other people and all of us have security clearance!
The police have far too many powers already! They should be cut back, not extended.
>>Nobody I know or has met who has a Mac bought one because of an iPod.
Let me change that for you. I've used PC's since the dawn of time (DOS 2.0, and before that MSBasic on the Commodore PET) for work and at home. I switched to OSX about 2 years ago following a very positive experience with my iPod. I now own a Powerbook, a PowerMac G5, I converted my wife to an iMac and my mother to an iMac G3 (which I bought her special because I was getting sick and tired of supporting her Windows machine). Oh and 3 iPods.
And what the hell are the honourable Tauren and Orcs doing allied with undead who are plotting to start a new plague to kill all living creatures and hate anything that lives (the forsaken, multiple quest lines) and associate with demons!
I still can't understand how Warlocks are a playable class: if there is one group of "ultimate baddies" it's The Scourge who are those demons. And in WC3 then only character who could summon demons was a scourge hero!
Don't be silly of course it isn't. It's news for nerds blah blah blah not "rants by morons".... oh sorry nearly forgot, this is Slashdot. And of course CmdrWanker has abused his mod rights by modding my original criticism to death.
Yes but it's still a childish rant (ab)using his position on Slashdot. Get a blog loser and don't bore the rest of us with your childish rant about how you're not allowed to break the rules everyone else conforms to. Wah! Wah! Fucking cry baby.
Firstly what consideration are you providing that I don't already have? I've paid the software vendor to use the software, what additional consideration are you providing in exchange for my agreeing to your EULA? A contract *does* require an consideration on both sides.
Secondly the idea that I can return the software if I don't agree is a non-sense. Most shops won't take back software if it's been opened. And you know what: they're more in the right than your EULA: they've provided something for my cash the EULA is irrelevant. In any case, see 1), I've already paid for what I want: the right to use the software.
Because mobile phone makers need to you to keep buying new phones otherwise they go bust.
My phone is a pda, has games, a camera, can browse the web. None of which I want, need nor use.
In contrast it often hangs (Windows Mobile so no surprise) and I have to take the battery out. When trying to answer calls it sometimes declares there was an error answering the call!?! And sometimes it simply doesnt ring/vibrate when someone calls me.
Why can't I buy *just a phone*? The original Motorola V (not the current bloated monster) and the Nokia 2110 were pretty much the perfect mobile phones: it's all been downhill since then.
Some time ago Adobe announced they would no longer target the Mac first. I think you'll find this is Apple responding to a slap in the face from Adobe.
Uhm actually you are wrong they could buy postgresql. It's "Open Source" not "Public Domain". Someone still owns the copyright and can sell that. Why? That's the only way with open/free software that you can distribute it without having to make the source available etc: you own the copyright so you don't need a licence. Ditto for if you decide to change the licence, say from Apache to GPL or vice-versa.
You completely and utterly missed my point re the eye. It wasn't that it was complex but rather that it either works or it doesn't.
Agreed. I like Firefly (don't let the movie put you off watching it) but the film Serenity was very poor.
The other problem he has is that whilst Firefly was a quirky, charming series the movie Serenity was a complete hotch-potch pile of crap. It sucked bigged time and really showed that Wheedon's directing skills simply didn't transfer from the small screen to the big screen.
Just my 2 pence worth.

Ouch no. That will just start them thinking about why they wouldn't hire you.
I really struggled to understand your third paragraph.
The difference is right at the start of your comment. Do you think the guy switching the barcodes to buy ipods for $4.99 was going to give them away to the poor? Also the idea that any corporation in the US pays US citizens a "starvation wage" is laughable.
You are so lucky you don't work for me, I'd demote on the spot if you produced crap like that for me.
Heh, newbie. Some environments only allowed 2 letter variable names so: A, AA, AB, AC I think beats Hungarian by a long way.

Nah, OSX is what Linux wishes it could be when it grows up.
"...leaves Apple without a mini-notebook style product" apart from the 13" ibook you mean?
I'm sorry, but you are too stupid to post on /.
You also need to account for "all the people who complained but don't even own a Mac". :-)
Care to back that up with some evidence?
