No, I understand that. But I get pretty good frame rates with the video chat feature that I don't think I would get with a G3 350. The upgrade definitely gives this box new life and I wanted to let the above poster know it was a worthwhile upgrade.
I have a B&W G3 350 that I upgraded with an Other World Computing 550 G4 ZIF. Go get one if you are not replacing your machine soon. It's worth it. Allows you to do things like iChat AV. If you use Photoshop, you'll really notice the difference. At least until you get a G5.;-)
This is not a slur and this is not a troll. All but one of the gay guys I know personally (and for a straight guy I know quite a few) use PC's. The one who uses a Powerbook bought it following my advice. All of the male Mac users I know (save the above exception) happen to be straight. This is just a statistical fact in my world. Your mileage may vary.
I don't know if it is true, but someone told me that the Seattle market is where regional newcasters go to lose their accents before going to network news. Aaron Brown (CNN) is an example.
I have a really nice stereo. That doesn't stop me from drooling at the local Bang & Olufsen dealer. Why? Because I can appreciate the design. For some people, the Cube has that kind of appeal.
I installed 10.3 on a partition just to poke around a bit and it works fine. My machine is a Blue and White G3 upgraded to a 550 Mhz G4.
Of course, who knows what may change with the final product. I think the negative PR would outweigh the financial benefit if Apple were to do that.
What use is SVG support to you? This is not a troll/flame but a question from an Illustrator user since version 5.
I know what SVG are and they seem to be a cool concept but browser support is next to nil (at least compared to Flash). What do you use them for?
Apple currently has about 3.5% marketshare but marketshare and installed base are two different statistics.
Mac users and Mac based industries use Macs longer before replacing them. A printer I work with has a 10 year old Mac running his image setter. "Why don't you upgrade?" "Still works." he answers."
That version had a pointlessly complex installation/registration process. They actually wanted you to mail in a floppy with the registration info. Dumb. (This was true for the Mac version, as well.)
Apple typically keeps their prices pretty constant (with some exceptions) and applies them to new revs of the same machine. They will probably have a Good, Better, and Best config. for roughly $1500, $2K, and $3K. I would love for them to prove me wrong, though.
Time expands and contracts depending on one's proximity to Job's Reality Distortian Field. It is similar to traveling at speeds approaching the speed of light. Time slowed down for Woz (relative to Jobs) once he left Apple. By my calculations, Jobs caught up with Woz on July 7, 1992 and is now six and a half years older than him.
Ya know, I have worked for small firms and large dotcoms and none were dependent on Exchange Server.
As for accounting, small firms do quite well with Quickbooks. It happens everyday, probably without you ever hearing about it. The larger firms I was associated it with used proprietary solutions.
You still haven't said anything to back up your original point.
I haven't heard of that one before.
Try using Mac OS X 10.3 and the latest Office X and then you can post informed comments.
From the photos displayed after his arrest, I'd say that there's a 70% chance Saddam Hussein and the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski, are the same person.
Hey, it was TIME magazine that made the call. Not some geek with a collection of OS release t-shirts.
You should call the editorial staff of TIME magazine FUCKING RETARDS if you are going to open your mouth at all. Mac users are not to blame.
BTW, this Mac user's I.Q. tested at 155. What's yours?

An unnatural act with a PEZ dispenser.
Yes, because there is so much tasteful PC hardware to choose from.

My Chinese is terrible.
That's not what he said when we TP'd his house.

Quickime, Quicktime Streaming Server, Web Objects, Filemaker Pro, and for a while Apple (then Claris) Works.
There might be other apps but those are the ones I know of.
15 years experience on Macs doesn't mean the last Mac he used was 15 YEARS AGO. It just means he has plenty of experience with them.

It was a demo and you couldn't save a state. Once you quit, any changes you made were lost.
I read it and, at your request, reread it.
