What Lego should market is not specific single-purpose only sets but sets with general themes that allow people to put their imagination to work:
Town sets. Blocks that allows kids to build a town of their own. Beams, bricks, plates, trees, blocky cars, sloppy ground, so on.
Railroad sets are great. For some reasons kids like railroad model especially if the trains run around in circle kids can control the tracks!
Office sets for adults. Cubicle blocks, little persons dressed in business attire; let people build a model of their offices so they can look at the model at home and imagine things.
Airport sets. Hanger, terminals, little airplanes, security checking, ticket counters. It should be fun! Similar idea is a seaport set with cargo lifts, ship docks, so on.
How is this going to replace reporters? Reporters don't just paraphrase other reports. They actually are supposed to search for stories (hopefully factual!) on their own.
At least if you just want the browser, Mozilla Firebird seems already much better than Mozilla.
I have been using a recent nightly build of Mozilla Firebird as my primary browser, and it has been very stable and already feels much more polished than Mozilla.
Small things like the Ctrl-Enter shortcut and automatic mouse scrolling make Mozilla Firebird feel more like a polished product than Moziila does.
Therefore, I have the thesis that technical jobs in the US are simply getting more and more advanced, whlie "easier" technical jobs are being moved overseas.
Running is a great idea. Just make sure you increase your running distance by not more than 10% per week, or you risk injuries and burnout that will set you back for a LONG time.
Don't be concerned about speed; rather, run at your own comfortable speed. You should never be gasping when running, or you are running too fast. You will naturally run faster as you become more fit.
By switching to Linux for operating system, Munich avoids depending on Microsoft for technical support and product upgrades. While using VMWare allows continuous usage of existing programs and possible future migration to Linux. This decision allows CHOICE and FLEXIBILITY, which are what I believe Munich wants in the first place.
are the fonts with common TrueType fonts such as Times New Roman, Ariel, and Courier? It would still be annoying if one does not have good substitutes for these common fonts in the free software world.
"You've got fired!"

A Pentium M laptop with long battery life would be a good choice for its low-power consumption.

While it is true that many technical jobs have been moved to India, the best Indian engineers actual come to the US to have jobs here.
CBS's 60 Minutes had a segment on students of the ultra-competitive Indian Institute of Technology a while ago. And apparently all the graduates from IIT want to come to the US.

I feel like going through a time machine. Someone please review a GW-BASIC book! :)
Schmidt's experience with "critical updates" will be handy.
because a real engineer like me gets A for engineering courses but B for humanities. ;)

How come we don't hear similar stories about Russia or France making their own CPU for the national security reason?
