They say it is a very sad state of affairs because the practice of taking advantage of poor and undereducated people is all too common. This particular person teaches English and states that they are blown away by the lack of fundamental grammar and even spelling skills. That being said, if you don't have a command over language, how will you ever understand that these schools are in fact, *for* profit (for someone at least) and they do not have people's best interests in mind?

The best suggestion I give when I come across someone who goes to one of these is "STAY AWAY AND GO TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE WHERE YOU CAN TRANSFER CREDITS IF NEEDED!!!" I don't say it in all caps but make it very obvious that it is not only the cheaper way to go, you will also become more educated, and of course, the fact you can transfer creds, which you cannot from many of these schools stated in the article.

  12. Quite a conundrum... on Americans Trust Docs, But Not Computerized Records · · Score: 2, Interesting

You will always have uneducated and educated people. And you will have educated people who aren't computer savvy. This means you will end up with a percentage (probably based on region - I feel sorry for people in the midwest) of doctors who offices are completely unsecure and all it would take is a patient walking in with the appropriate thumb drive at the appropriate time.

BAM! Access to the doctor's office is now at hand and anyone's records can be had.

Very few people who would do this sort of activity in other situations are doing it for fun. I can only think doing this to make money would be something that would be a scheme, to mostly blackmail people of a region with the largest percentage of ignorant and uneducated people. Who, ironically enough, are going to be sick more and thus go to the doctor more... But how, or why, to exploit these people who have nothing to give is beyond me.

But rich people also go to doctors from time to time as well... so what then?

I'm going to have to go back and watch the early seasons - they sound good. I guess its probably because I sort of look like Eccleston and can relate to him more, or perhaps he's *my* first doctor, which accounts for him being my favorite, even though Tennant was a great doctor. With Matt Smith, it just seems... wrong. I'm too lazy to search out some doctor who form to watch some flame wars. But has this sort of "change" not sat right with the public before? If so, do some of you hard core fans already know that Smith isn't going to be around much longer?
