    _Mac_ OS X is the operating system that Apple supplies with their _Macintosh_ line of computers. The iPhone is not a Macintosh computer.

    I wouldn't rule out the fact either that iTunes has a slick interface that makes organising your music, buying music, podcasting, listening to internet radio and so much more, really easy. Try saying that about RealPlayer.

    Wait... my bad, this runs on PPC processors, considering Windows runs on x86, that wouldn't work quite so well... unless they released an x86 version of this product, everyones doing it, including Apple!

    Now all they have to do is Xen on the host machine (after being ported to Windows of course) with a OpenMosix kernel running in it, so this little puppy can harness the CPU power on the Windows host too. Not just its peripherals.

    Maybe, I'm a masochist (however I *really* don't think I am) but I use gnome on 256 megabytes of ram quite happily. Not to mention a 600 MHz processeur . On top of that, I've had friends who are your usual Windows XP user, with a machine that easily trumps mine in specs, comment on how fast it is.

    Saying that KDE is a better desktop experience than Gnome (okay you didn't mention it, but it's implied) is a bunch of crock. It's all relative to who's using it. I'll take Gnome as the better desktop experience anyday, but that's just me, opinions differ. But I don't make statements implying that gnome is the end all and be all.

    Every year farmers save the seeds from their plants, to grow next year. If his plants where cross contaminated from other patented plants, that then produced the seeds of the geneticaly modified plant, according to your logic he should throw those all out and go spend a load of money on new seeds?

    One time I was planning on doing a network install, after installing the first cd, over dial-up. Unfortunantly I could not get the modem driver to work no matter what. On second though maybe it was for the better.
