    You know, Gimp's primary platform is not windows. And there's no Paintshop Pro for linux that I know of.

    The fact is that for the elections which you are talking about, abstensionism was very high (a record, indeed). For these elections, 28% of the citizens did not go to vote. You can bet that Le Pen' supporters did go vote, which means his score would have been much lower if people did vote.

    Yes, this is not what i meant - I'm french and i can speak english too. But english isn't an official language in Sweden, is it ? I meant native speak, of course.

    The fact that Microsoft has a hard time winning this in the US may be due to the fact that in this english-speaking country, "windows" is a common word meaning "openable thing made out of glass". In Finland and Sweden, this is not the case. Maybe this explains this injunction?

    IMHO, as law is the worst solution to spam (as opposed to technical measures), the few spammers caught can get "exemplary" condamnations. Maybe this could make other spammers fear for their ass.

    I agree, however, that these days computer crimes seem to be more heavily punished than murders or sexual crimes, which is quite stupid.

    It should work, at least with XFree CVS. You have to compile the kernel module. You may also have some "kernel-drm" or something package with your distro...

    Sure. Case of normal test would be (current->uid == 0). Just imagine, without the brackets gcc could interpret it as (current)->uid == 0. How bad !

    or maybe even current->(uid == 0) ! ;-)

    For instance, late in the game Windows Server 2003 was changed to not include the ".NET" branding. Going over every place in the product (docs included) where someone had written down "Windows .NET Server" was required.

    Very true, but you meant SMTP. POP3 and IMAP are somewhat secured with login methods.

    I certainly didn't like patching OpenSSH on a machine I can only reach via SSH.
    Whenever I have to do this, I test the new server using ./sshd -p 2222 and login to it, before making install. Saved me once or twice when I forgot ./configure options.
