    It certainly does rearrange the field... if you activate the cheat and hover over a square of which the top left pixel tells you it's a bomb (i.e. black) and you click it, it won't reveal a bomb at all. in fact the bomb that was there will be moved to the top left corner of the field or the adjacent square if that one already contains one...

    and if you still don't believe me, do a search on codeproject.com with the keyword INVOKE and you'll turn up this

    ow, and of course clicking both buttons at the same time while hitting the 'esc' key will stop your timer!

    Maybe they turned to Motorola because of their history together? (Motorola used to produce processors for Apple, now it's all IBM. IIRC)

    I know it sounds freaky...

    But seeing TWO 30" displays next to each other... made me gasp for air.

    I'd get all excited, but then I catch a glimpse of the price tag and quickly mosy along, to go cry in a corner :)

    Who knew, back in the day playing on the b/w consoles that we'd have this kind of stuff to play with... Who knows what cool stuff we'll have another 25 years from now, if we make it that far.

    Yup, I loved playing Motocross Madness with that one. Sadly no longer in production.

    So yes, this whole 'using your laptop as an input device' does seem kinda uhm...? Lame?

    Well apart from the record companies' IP demands... there's also that little known thing called VAT which is different in most states. But I know for a fact that apple would have loved nothing more then to just have one european store...

    Weird... Nors, Swedish, Flemish and Dutch TV don't do this... luckily for us the costs outweigh the so called benefits. I also believe this contributes to the fact so many of us have English as our second language (!)

    We did try to do some lipsync on BH90210 a long time ago, just for fun, but the result was nauseating!

    I'm living in France at the moment, and I have to miss out on all my favourite shows! And watching Friends or 24 in french, just isn't an option!

    My dad had a really hard time recreating the concorde crash...

    on topic: The game clearly wants to make the most of the anniversary, but I doubt it'll have much succes. Except for maybe the people who enjoy the 'Liveshot' site.

    I joined a Frat, 6 years of my life spent wondering what day it was and what that foul tast in my mouth was... I loved it! Though it wasn't an all IT frat, lotsofus IT 'dOOdZ' were in it for exactly that, the comradery, the booz and the girls :)

    And of course, when hiring, you'll easily call on someone you know from your past!

    the biggest problem a 'unified' Europe faces is the tendency to regulate everything according to the wrong norm. The EU comission regulating the manufacturing of local cheeses in the north of italy is an extreme example of some of the stuff that needlesly sets back real progress.

    Only now are we beginning to allow other coutnries easy access to criminal records, such a thing should have been done a long time ago. Improved administrative integration will be a boost to the inter-state relations.

    In the end we're just 200 million crazy people wedged into a small space, it'll drive you crazy :)

    Speaking as a European I can affirm your thoughts on 'living in a big country numbs your sensitivity to other cultures'... But it doesn't have to be as big as the US. On mainland Europe the british are also regarded as 'insensitive clods' living on an island tends to isolate them from the rest of Europe in much the same way as the US are isolated from the rest of the world.

    But even small countries can have this 'flaw'. Dutch people, are regarded in France as the worst kind of tourist along with the Brits. Maybe it is also tied in with their colonial past?
    Really funny listening to Engeland supporters chanting 'Rule Britannia'... while really they've become the US lapdog. No offense meant, that's just the way it looks from where I'm standing.

    Well one thing remains certain, french waiters are arrogant :)

    like in the simpsons episode where homer buys the 'unnecessary things' that's the kind of stuff that gets bought with the big bucks.
