Funny? No, what's funny is that you went there and clearly didn't look very well.

It's right here, and it's under the fairly obvious title of "Website Privacy Settings".

    There is: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

You can also whitelist and blacklist sites in that same Flash Global Settings Manager :)

Uh, do you work for Apple, or are you just....not that bright?

"don't want to mess with the filesystem" - wait, what? who does that these days, and not only that, how is it a requirement of a Windows computer? at no point is this ever required.
"don't want a browser vulnerable to malware" - you can choose any browser you want on Windows, no-one is required to use IE.
"don't want to mess with drivers" - honestly, when was the last time you had to do this? Since XP and later generally shit just works.
"(or worse, dick around with file sharing over a network)" - uh, since when is this complicated. i open explorer, i click another computer on my network, get prompted for a username, i enter it, and it works - it's so simple it's not even funny, and it's pretty comparable to networking on OSX as a matter of fact.

Your "arguments" aren't really valid, it's as though the last time you used Windows was back at version 3.11. Either that or you just enjoy spreading FUD in service to the mighty Steve Jobs. I'm getting so tired of people parroting arguments against Windows that haven't been valid for many, many years.

That's the thing though...you're saying that the data is considered useless/harmless, and therefore of no value. Maybe it's not. There are a great deal of people who analyse data out there and they may or may not be able to glean something useful out of your collated user actions. There could be a whole field of folks out there analysing the psychology of why people click and where and how to best market to those people (it's always about advertising in the end).

Not only that, but there is no journalistic integrity with Yelp. I know someone who works for Yelp, and they take free shit from businesses that they've reviewed, which is ethically pretty uncool. They've also told me stories about how they've coerced bars into having functions they normally wouldn't have by effectively threatening the bar with bad reviews on Yelp. All in all it seems a very suspect operation and I personally wouldn't trust a single review from it.

Wow, uh, way to be proud of being a racist piece of shit. I hope you go out of business because stupid, ignorant fucks like you deserve it. You're so stupid you don't understand that if you weren't racist more people would sympathize with your real problem, which is illegal trucking (regardless of what race or sex the people are). Dumbass.

Your post would be more credible without the thinly veiled racism. The point of your post is that "Sad state of affairs, having to try to make money while people operating illegally are competing with you." This has nothing to do with race, just leave that shit out as it makes you look like a bigot and cheapens your point which is actually valid!

Actually, the article quotes the Forum moderator: "Please do not continue to post these threads or you account may be at risk of banning, which in some cases would mean you would need to buy a new copy to play Spore." That sounds like an in-game ban, not a forum ban, to me.
