I totally agree. This was upheld by the US Supreme Court years ago and was in all the papers and new broadcasts. They said if you are not decrypting the broadcast (something like HBO for example) then it's yours to free copy as you want.

It's sad that people don't understand their rights.

Quite interesting. You see SCO stock in the dumps right until their first press release vs IBM. Couldn't be stock manipulation now could it?

If SCO can demonstrate ANYTHING other than bullshit then I'll be happy to remove the code in question and continue using Linux. You know it will be just fine without their code. Hell... isn't this one of the reasons the source code is available? To get rid of stuff we don't want (or add it).

SCO can sue me all they want. They won't get a dime (nor lawyer fees). But if they want to send a cease and desist then I'll be happy to remove their code. Just tell me where :-)

We don't need no stinking SCO code in our kernel. Once it's replaced I don't think they can say much about it.

Probably why they have been so weird in their handling of all this. They don't want the code removed and want more customers so to speak.

Once we discover the code it's gone. And SCO can take a flying leap.
