Microsoft missed out big time, a lot of missed sales during christmas season won't be made up till next christmas season where they have to compete against the revolution and psx3. Any who says Microsoft purposely held back production has no clue how consumer economics works. I guess MS learned that a worldwide launch doesn't work and that they pissed off their fan base who's only way of getting one still is via ebay or overpriced bundles.
what is your point?, in the links the apple costs $2499 and the dell $2199, so the more expensive is the apple. and... for the ugliness factor, well, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. and for me 300 bucks are prettier than an apple logo.
Not to mention Dell usually has sales for 25% to 30% off the retail price. I picked up a 2001FWP 20" wide LCD for $380. I've seen the 24" dell go for $850.
FLAC is useless to people who don't realize that AAC(lossy), MP3s and everyother format will become eventually become obsolete. Archiving your music in a lossless format lets you convert to any other format in the future.
On Crushridge i was buying crystals for 12g and then transmuting(paying 5g for the transmute) and auctioning off the bars for 30g. Had that going on for about a month till people realized they could do the same and price of arcanite bars normalized to around 18g.
MSDE 1.0 was based on SQL 7. MSDE never used Access which is quite different than SQL server. Access is a flat file, MSDE is an actual application hence the word engine in the name.
Also, partitioning has been in there forever as has memory tuning.
The partitioning implementation in MySQL 5.1 is still very new (pre-alpha quality) and is not production-ready at this time. Much the same is true of this chapter: Some of the features described herein are not yet actually implemented (partitioning maintenance and repartitioning commands), and others might not yet function exactly as described (for example, the DATA DIRECTORY and INDEX DIRECTORY options for partitions are adversely affected by Bug #13520). We have attempted to note these discrepancies in this chapter. Before filing bug reports, we encourage you to check the following..
the misinformation. I've seen these allegations that Clinton spied on american citizens without a court order on Drudge, NRO and all the conservative blogs. They all reference executive order 12949 which states " Pursuant to section 302(a)(1) of the Act, theAttorney General is authorized to approve physical searches, without a court order" What does text of the law say, the president can authorize searches of foreign powers without a court order. No where does the law say American Citizens. King George could have easily followed the law but didn't, other presidents did.

as for their 1080p is "real" HD claim. its BS, anyone with common sense knows to ignore it. however, ask yourself this: in the next say 8-10 years, if you have to buy a new HDTV and you decide to get the best. the best being 1080p. as more tvs enter the market and the price drops, eventually 1080p will become the next standard. wouldnt you be able to appreciate a system that was capable of taking advantage of your console? its futureproofing; as a consumer, i appreciate a company that is thinking about the high end.

Too bad content providers can't support 1080p because there isn't enough bandwidth. Hell watch 1080i and you see artificats because 19.2mbit capable transmission channel is not capable supply enough bandwidth.
Older HDTVs and almost all computer monitors do not support HDCP. People have little incentive to pick bluray or HDDVD when they can't take advantage of the HD content without being forced to upgrade their monitors or tvs. Company that wins will be the first one to remove the HDCP requirement for video out but I have feeling both will not and they'll end up as the same fate DVD audio. Consumers will just ignore the technology.
Its some sort of load balancing using layer 7. First request goes to the default box/cluster to determine where to put you and probably sets a cookie to load balance off of(so the load balance router can use it to route off of). Then your redirected but this time your have a cookie so the load balance router can route you to the right box/cluster which was determine by the prior request. The last redirect is just to strip off the querystring.
I spent most of a day installing a new copy of XP on a Dell server. I spend less than 1 hour on an identical computer with Fedora Core4.
Obviously you don't spend all day installing Windows on dell servers because if you did you would know that Dell has unattended OS installation system which you can install windows in under an hour(including all the right drivers) by filling out a few fields and a single click. Thanks for playing though.
If you bought an item, that RFID is now worthless since it be marked in the DB as being sold. As for stealing its for RFIDs, you might as well try stealing everything instead of trying to insert RFIDs back into an item.
And that fact ID always refers to "designer" singular. Not once have i heard plural versions of this leaving out all the polythesim religions.

They have to pay for the license to use the bluetooth specification and i assume its due to patents.
And drivers in Longhorn run in userland. Thanks for making the grandparents point.
How would you different configuration(say pop3 login info) with a .ini file for multiple users on the same box?
Yellow is for temp/contract.
Blue is for vendors/agents of another company.

Its no more of a nuisance than a library internet terminal or the free waps that some cafes provide.
If RIAA is making apple use DRM, why are the independant artist songs on itunes also DRMed up?

I'll buy it off of you for retail price and pay for shipping. I'm sick and tired of calling bestboy, and target everyday to get my hands on one.
