2: "Yes, and I'm just a constant function, if anyone derives me, I'm zero!"
I Suppose you mean "differentiate" rather than "derive"... Why do so many people mistake derivation with differentitation? I know when you differentiate a function you get its derivative and that sounds kind of like deriving... but I mean SERIOUSLY, they're two completely different things!!
I've been using Thunderbird as my main email client since 0.3 (I only kept an eye on it before that to see how it goes...). I never used the Mozilla mail client as I rather like having a stand-alone client for email and I'll be way happier once Thunderbird can actually be installed. And I like 0.4 =) It's getting better and better with every release.
For me, TV can be too much of a passive experience after a short while.
Precisely. Just sitting there and staring at the screen without any active involvement bores me after around 10 to 15 minutes. At least on the internet, you can be doing many different things at the same time. You can also do what you want when you want, instead of waiting on broadcasting times...
[Consumers] may well be willing to pay for their entertainment -- if the quality is guaranteed and the price is fair.
Right, that will work. Some things are worth my money and I'd be glad to pay to get them. THAT's why I bought the Harry Potter book instead of looking it up as an ebook. (Reading on the screen is a pain anyway...) and that's what I do with every other book or CD that I think is worth the price. Give me something that I need...
You mean it's not very convenient instead. It's not very helpful to say the info is wrong without providing the correct one, now is it? Sign of laziness...
Well, it'a always great to hear that at least something is threatening them! Microsoft seems to be so full of themselves, they don't even consider others. Now if this threat is Linux, then so much the better.
That's definitely huge. It could be good for webhosting though. But then again, with such a hard drive, more people would be eager to download large multimedia files like videos and movies. Right now, one of the only things to stop them would be the lack of space.
Indeed, this new effort is very interesting and I suppose pretty much needed. I have been looking for these kind of simulations and other than Celestia which has been mentioned, I wasn't able to find any other programs of interest. Looking forward to the final version.
Just like the difference between "focus on problem" and "focus on solution"...?
When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens wouldn't work at zero gravity. In order to solve this problem, they hired Andersen Consulting (Accenture today). It took them one decade and 12 million dollars. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, under water, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature ranging from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

Simpsons is always an exception of course.

That editors note is rather convenient

Who cares about IE? Maybe people will start using decent browsers then.
Check it out on APOD
This is really awesome. I'm totally impressed! By the way, this was on Astronomy Picture Of The Day on July 24.

I just found out about this yesterday, but I'll try to make it... Not sure though
You mean they think we don't see enough ads everywhere already?!
NoteTab, Golden Pen and HTML-Kit...
I'll just stick to Notepad personally, as far as windows is concerned. Other than that, VI forever!
We can always make new ones, genetic engineering works! (ya right...)
Heh well probably just 'cause eightytwopede would sound evil if not to mention the look of it...
Hmmm, good point... Wonder where and by whom that will be published once all life on Earth disappears...
Nah, the Queen dismissed linux last december... Sad, but true

The Russians used a pencil.
